Riccardi's in Brownwood is now Prima Italian Steakhouse. Anyone dined there? How was it?

Very good food. The lobster cannelloni and the grouper are excellent.

Would have to look at my texts, but Changed owners about 6 month ago. Staff is getting up to speed, food comes Hot, which is unusual for TV.

Steak was good, prepared mid rare, as to the rare we requested. Management agreed but we choose not to not reorder. Not close to great restaurants in Ocala, or Orlando. But that my opinion.

Been there 3 times, each time was well above average to excellent. New owners are the same family that took over Lopez, which is also good now.

The "let us make it right" was wrong

Eager to try this renewed old venue. Few guests just after noon. Christina was friendly and eager. One order of minestrone and salad. One Caesar with anchovies and calamari.
When the food was delivered, the soup was tepid. The calamari was a greasy mess of falling-off breading and rubbery old rings. On check-back, Christina assured that Prima would "make-it-right." Soup returned hot. "Make-it-right" Calamari was wrong. It was overcooked to make it crisp. The batter coating was salty it was fully inedible.
Although the check was not changed to compensate for the poorly prepared food, Steven handed a "free entrée" card just before this writer exited.

Have eaten there several times....each meal was very good. We try and vary the menu so we can each try the others meal to see what we think.

Since the new ownership took over and it is now primo steakhouse it is much improved. My wife and I ate there twice in the last two weeks each time we had a very good lunch . Try the crab cakes appetizer.

We had a group of 10 for dinner. Our server's name was Cubano. Service and food were outstanding. I had the best lasagna I've ever had here in the Villages, my wife had an outstanding Chicken Marsala, and everyone was very happy with their orders.

Only been there once (recently) and I was not very impressed. Was just one of a dinner party of 8, so maybe they liked their meal better. The service was slow and the wait time for the meal was so slow that the manager came to the table and brought more bread and had the drinks refilled. My meal was over priced for what I had and the meat was dry and hard to chew. Others at the table said their meals were OK. It was very noisy too. I have no intention of returning, but that's just me. One person at the table ordered the crab cakes and said they were terrible, too much filler. I attribute the long wait time to our large party and probably the shortage of employees (waiters).
Personally, I would not put too much stock in one person's single visit that resulted in a less than stellar review. If you look at their menu and see something that draws you there, try it out and make your own decision.

I’m very picky but I must say Prima is excellent for Italian food. Haven’t had the steaks but I spotted a few coming out of the kitchen and they looked good. Service is excellent and prices are not bad considering what everyone else charges

Four of us went to Prima for dinner; the food was acceptable but nothing to rave about, especially for the price. I won't go back anytime soon.

We rarely go out to eat..but when we do we go to Prima. Great food , excellent service, attentive Managers. Not as “pricey” as many other Villages restaurants.

Like most of the restaurants in the Villages, it is okay but nothing spectacular. Eating out is expensive and really good restaurants are hard to come by.

We've been there several times, including with my 100% Italian mother and she said her meal was excellent. IMO, the best lasagna I've ever had.

you can say that again.... actually we find that eating out here has bee cheaper than what we are used to.... but the good restaurant part is highly accurate

Chicken breasts need to be pounded before cooking. Doneness was uneven because they were so thick

Some people will never be satisfied
It amazes me the restaurants in TV survived the pandemic and did the best they could. Now there’s a shortage of workers and food prices ( their wholesale costs) have gone through the roof and have yet to peak. Shortages are occurring and will get worst. Restaurants try new vendors so they can keep their menu in tact for the most part. Some of those vendors are not that good The poor small places like Dunkin Doughnut , on 466) snd Culvers are so short of help it’s window service only So if you don’t feel like traveling a few hours away for a meal, do your best to support the restaurants. No im not an owner just someone who appreciates what they are going through and how they are trying BTW, their monthly rent never changed when the were only allowed a 25% capacity

Dined at Prima last week. Outstanding. promptly seated with a very attentive waitress. Food came out prompt and hot. We both had the grouper in limoncello sauce. Cooked perfectly ( ie; not overcooked) Highly recommend!.

People love to complain about a bad meal or restaurant service. The two times we have been to Prima the restaurant was very busy and staff probably stretched pretty thin like most restaurants in The Villages. There were six in our group and nobody had a complaint. Overall would give them an A- for slightly slower than normal service but A plus for effort to please under a workforce labor shortage especially here in The Villages.
