To my knowledge most of the parties held at the rec centers are sponsored by various clubs

Party? Not for me. I want to be off the roads before the craziness gets rolling. Good shows on tv and me, comfy in my pajamas.

Thanks and FYI I’m not a rational person when it comes to the Holidays, I’m like Scrooge after the 3 ghosts visited , I spend to much, party to much and give away to much , whether broke or flush what people will always be able to say about me “ He Was A Man Who Knew How To Keep Christmas)

Love Miami. Was a member of The Mutiny back in the late 70's early 80's. Is the Miami party a private one or is it public?

If your gonna be up North, a bunch of us will be in Times Square. This will be my third, and probably last, Times Square New Years Eve. Always spend Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years up North.

If your looking to have a safe and enjoyable time checkout to see if there are any hotel packages with New Year Eve parties. My wife and I went one year they offered dinner, dancing, and the next morning breakfast. It was great, year after year we would go with more and more friends and then one year the hotel gave us a discount because our group rented a whole floor.
This was in N.J. at a beautiful resort hotel, but if they have it up there there must be a hotel that has the same down here.

There is a fantastic New Years Eve musical show being performed at Everglades Recreation Center called "Addicted to Love". There are singers, dancers, special lighting, and looks to be a wonderful way to celebrate the night. Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy the show. Details can be found at the following website DazzlingRainProductions.com

City Fire in Lake Sumter landing usually has a party with dancing, dinner and casino night. Food is iffy but can be a fun night.

Waterfront Inn would have the most traditional NYE dressy event. It ends at 12:30. Also the Hilton near the mall in Ocala usually does a big NYE event.

The village curfew means the roads are closed after 9 would have to go to a hotel.

Being snowbirds, we always have been in Michigan for the Christmas holidays and New Years. So we had no idea of what activities happened in The Villages squares for New Years Eve but had assumed there would be some good times based on the activities there for the other holidays. Our daughter and son-in-law decided to come down early 2 years ago and stayed at our home over the holidays. They went to the squares for New Years Eve and were shocked when the band stopped playing at 9:00 pm and everyone just went home. Ever since, they have teased us about the sidewalks being rolled up at 9 in The Villages, even on New Years Eve.

Thank you for this suggestion! I was looking for something to do on New Years. My husband, mother, and I will be visiting the Villages during this time. I just called the production company and spoke with the man who along with his wife produced this show. What a nice man! He said that it will be something very different than the usual for the Villages and will be a lot of fun. I'm taking his word on this and purchased three tickets at a total cost of $117 after taxes and fees. Not a bad price for a New Years Even show for three people. It ends early enough to go do some else after if we want. I was told that although the show ends at 6:30, there will be music and dancing until after 8:00. I plan to bring a good bottle of wine and get my mom half-lit to ensure that she has a blast. LOL

I am not a Navy type sailor. I was a competition racing sailboat captain.
Before Covid, there were a few individuals (former entertainers) that reserved a Rec Center and had a catered dinner with dancing till Midnight. They were themed, had party favors, table decorations and photo backdrops. They had DJ music and Singers.
Also 4 of the Large Rec Centers had bands in 4 genres play from 8-12 with BYOB. I have not seen anything about them doing that this year.
I do see that the BUZZKATZ are playing at a hotel in Winter Park but tickets are $200 each and the hotel room is $375.

Also all my Social Clubs are lacking in the "party" category. They like strummers and hula dancers type thing.
I am sure the Paisanos Club is going to have a great Party. (I am not Italian).

We attend Ralph DiNomes party every year. His band provides the music, and is a catered dinner. BYOB. Good time.

The couple putting this on are entertainers in The Villages - and they live here in The Village of McClure.

Who is performing? We went to a recent local event at Seabreeze and it was worse than any high school musical we ever attended in our small town up north. We could hardly wait until it was over...
