After paying $40 per month for my first year, Xfinity has now raised me to $66 for internet only, 1O0 mbps. So is $66 the "right" price, or is a lower price available with a phone call from me?
Thanks to any that respond.

I'm on my 3rd Xfinity "new user" contract here. Sign up ONLINE under someone else's name/email in your household then cancel your service. Give yourself 2-3 days between canceling and new service starting. Been doing that for 30+ years with every cable company I have had (Cablevision, Comcrap, Fios, DirecTV) and have always been a "new subscriber" getting new subscriber promos. Never have had to speak to a person other than to cancel, although now you can do it on chat. You can also cancel and switch to another provider for internet only. There should be at least one other around.
With internet only (no TV) you don't have as much direct bargaining power. If you can get 2yr contracts, it's much easier to rinse and repeat. Not sure you can do that with internet only.

My November bill also went up because last year's contract expires at the end of this month. Go online to your account and "change" to a new plan. Select the 100 mbps $40 plan and it's done. No need to change names, etc. You'll still be charged $66 for November but will be credited with $24 on the December bill.

It's a game or dance I tend to go through when the contract expires. You can call and threaten to quit as well. I've used them for over 20 years and know the drill well. You just have to be willing to play the game.

Disgusting how they treat existing customers but go play the game and tell them you are leaving for better rates.
