My wife and I would like to attend the Open Air concerts at the Polo fields. Never been to one. Are there actually seats provided in General Admission or VIP sections, or do you sit in your car like at a drive-in? Thanks

Pretty sure you only sit in your golf cart in the golf cart drive-in section...

I don't believe they have a section for automobiles...

But I can't wait to go. We've got tickets for "Absolute Queen" and "The Guess Who"...

Thanks, so I guess they provide seating for General and VIP sections correct?

Port-a-Potties, 100 yards to 200 yards. Not too far from the stage. Everyone can watch you wait in line.

For general admission you bring your own chair or blanket. All seating first gone first serve including for golf carts.

Weird, my ticked gives a location for the cart (row/space). It's different for the two concerts we bought tickets for...

We went last year and had a great time. Last year it was golf cart only. We brought chairs and set them in front of the cart. Concessions (food, booze) were available.
The stage and audience area was set up on the field with spots marked by cones. "Ushers" to guide to the correct spot. Very much like a drive in.

We went to see Hotel California at an outdoor concert at the polo fields. As far as I could tell there was no seating. We took chairs. The band was set up facing the polo field. There was a section for cars and golf carts. We understood that we could get food there. Bad idea. We were starving and stood in line for food for a lot of the concert. There were only 2 food trucks, so be prepared or eat before you go. Hopefully they have improved in that area. It was OK. We went in the golf cart and it was pretty chilly, especially on the way home. Personally I prefer indoor concerts.

This excludes a lot of folks.
Excludes those without golf carts
No Handicap facilities. Folks in wheelchairs or using walkers cannot maneuver grounds nor have appropriate restrooms.

We used to have open air concerts where you’d park car and take fold up chair to a grassy shady spot and enjoy it. and the band would play from a veranda at a Rec. Center.

I checked and there are provisions to accommodate handicapped/disabled persons. Please call The Villages Box Office for further details.

The general seating area has no carts it is bring your own seat. There are supposed to be 6. food trucks this time. If you do a cart you can bring a chair to sit on so you don’t have to sit in your cart. There is no auto section this time.

Ope this clarifies the concert but it is fully explained on the Villages entertainment site where you buy the tickets. It can be cold in December you may want to take that into account when deciding.

Last year some people complained that the stage was not high enough and carts were parked one behind the other. Therefore, sitelines were poor. Does anyone know if that has improved?
