Happy is a state of mind. I would be happy if. If, IF happens some will find something else to complain about.

Different for everyone. We are happy when we are there. Nothing is needed. We are just happy sitting in the house enjoying it. We do go out and about a lot but all is good.

I would be happier if fellow Villager's acknowledged how nice they have it here and spent their energy on improving their lives and not complaining about others.

If I only had just 50 million dollars
If Tuesday Weld would only be my wife
If I only knew how stocks would go on Wall Street
Then I'd know I could be satisfied with life.

If people would collectively -choose- to ditch political signs and nasty anti-[insert politician here] bumper stickers completely. Not both sides, all sides. I don't care what party you support. Just get rid of all the signs and nasty bumper stickers. Off houses, off cars, off golf carts. I don't want to see those upside down "a-ok" finger bumper stickers either - people go out of their way to be intentionally offensive, and I'd love to see people CHOOSE to not do that anymore. No rules. Just the choice to be civil to each other in person and in public.

I agree, don’t care and I don’t talk politics or religion as it is a private thing for me. When it gets dirty or nasty it is such a turnoff.

Well, TT wrote it about 70 years ago, you know, when 50 mil really meant something.

We live in a pink bubble. It’s beautiful in The Villages. It’s got whatever activities you might like. Incredible neighbors.

I couldn’t be happier.

Totally agree with being civil BUT am concerned with what is nasty and offensive.

I would be happier if the course managers were not so stingey with how they sprinkle the birdies on the courses.

They need to increase the distribution so that they are easier to find.

But other than that I love it here.

It's not just TV, as I've found most courses everywhere - do the same thing. I think it's a secret conspiracy. LOL

After 45 years of stressful working, moved here to try to…Let It Go, as best as we can.

Finding something wrong with TV, which we Chose to live in, just takes up time that one may not have tomorrow to complain about.

I’ve lowered my expectations of everyone and everything in life, I find myself happier. I’ve been thinking the same thing. Expecting (or worse, demanding) specific attitudes or actions from others can lead to disappointment.

Maybe putting it a different way: I would be happier here in the Villages if some people weren't trying so hard to convince me that I shouldn't be happy.

Oh, and winning the lottery would be nice too.

Happy people will be happy regardless of location. Same for miserable old farts who will always find something to justify their misery.

There are some outside influences, of course, but I believe happiness is a choice. Choose wisely.

The Villages stopped at RT 44 and the kids found another hobby so my taxes didn’t subsidize their fun.

I would be happier if I could allow myself to go out every night to dinner and not gain an ounce!!
I would be happier if the Villages were more a REAL gated community.. (Even if just by the resident housing.)
Who wouldn't be happier if they won the lotto,
And if my husband could dance and would dance on the town squares with me!! LOL

I agree with you. We should be happy that we can wake up in the morning and enjoy all that is offered here. You can do as much as you want or as little as you want. Quit complaining about stuff and look for the good.
