Cousins Maine Lobster Truck got its start after it starred on the television show "Shark Tank". Today it made a visit by ABC Liquors in Lady Lake on 441. Our wait was only about ten minutes since we ordered our takeout via their app. Here is the short video of what it looked like today.

I didn't know they were here before...
There used to be an Orlando truck that came to Woofgang at Palm Ridge Plaza every other week. I was broken hearted when they gave up the business.

There was a lobster truck like that at Lake Sumter Landing a few weeks ago and the line was very long, it was around 3:30 PM. Don't know if it was the same one or not but he was doing very well.

I don’t know, at $21.50 per lobster roll that bet might never get paid off. lol

At $21 a lobster roll it just goes to show that if you give the public what they want they will pay for it. Lesson to be learned here people.

Last time I bought one it was $19, so $21 doesn’t seem out of the norm. Of course one can always buy couple lobster tails, and make it yourself

I don’t know, at $21.50 per lobster roll that bet might never get paid off. lol WOW. It was ~$14 when we got them 2 years ago somewhere along 441 at some show. They are good but for $21 I can have a lobster tail dinner.

I bought one of those $14 lobster rolls and it was awful. I will gladly pay my $21.50 anytime the Cousins Maine Truck comes and as you can see on the video I am not alone. There were over 800 people on FB that replied they were interested.

I don’t know, at $21.50 per lobster roll that bet might never get paid off. lolfor a very good lobster roll , that’s a bargain , even with a glut of lobsters in New England this past summer I was paying between $25 and $35 for a roll , a good lobster roll and an ice cold Red Stripe.are two of life’s simple pleasures

Ummmm, LOL, Read it again. It **WAS** Cousin's Lobster truck that we paid $14. It was at a Fall Festival at a large farm somewhere off of 441 that had about 12 different food trucks a couple years ago. Evidently the minimum wage lobsters have demanded to sacrifice themselves for the good of man has gone above $15/hr.
From a 2018 article about them:
Customers can expect to spend between $15 to $20, which the franchise owner, Julianne Lilly, as well as one of the founders, Sabin Lomac described as an "affordable luxury."
"We want everyone to taste every bite of the sweet, succulent lobster as if it was coming out of the pot and in butter."
Both the Maine Lobster Roll and Connecticut Lobster Roll cost $16.50 plus tax.

I thought you were talking about another truck that was around recently that was just awful. What hasn’t gone up recently? It’s a price I am willing to pay.

I thought you were talking about another truck that was around recently that was just awful. What hasn’t gone up recently? It’s a price I am willing to pay. All the power to you.  Speaking only for myself I think 2 ounces of lobster meat on a roll with a bit of mayo for $21+ served on a paper plate off a truck is pushing it a little even if (and I DON'T) had unlimited disposable income. IMO, some things reach a point where cost far exceeds value. And what really killed me, they even wanted a tip for handing it to me through the window!
