Has anyone lived with clear glass instead of frosted for their shower? Is it hard to keep clean if someone doesn't squeegee it on occasion (no names mentioned)? Do you feel like you are showering in front of an open window? Do you feel like a small bathroom really seems larger? Any input welcome. Thanks.

We had one in our last house and like it. We have been trained (by my mother) to always squeegee after we shower so it stayed clear. It eliminates the closed in feeling of other showers and gives a better warning when the psyco killer is attacking.

From hotels I like the clear door. In fact the last room I had had no door and no water got out into the bathroom. Their was a drain in the floor incase water did get into the rest of the bathroom but I liked the no door better.

Had them in California -- LOVED 'em!! If you use Arm & Hammer Shower Clean every time you shower, doors stay crystal clear with no work at all. Squeegee does a good job but not as good as the spray.

It does give you the feeling of more room in the shower but also takes away some privacy (more of an issue when there's kids the house, IMO).

Had a clear door installed in my shower in CA and I loved it. The bathroom was truly small and the clear door did help in making it feel a bit more spacious.

Keeping it clean wasn't any more difficult than any other shower door, BUT the need to keep it clean was more apparent than with a frosted door.

Here I have a walk in shower with no door. Love it. Now if someone would just come and clean the tile.... ;)

Thanks for posting that question. Did anyone have their frosted doors removed and replaced? If so, who did your work? I have gotten 2 quotes, one from Perry's Entrypoint (the front door people) and Abshiere (LSL). The new door would replace the door in my Anna Maria CYV master bathroom. The prices are within $100 of each other. Our CYV was purchased new, but came as is. We have done many changes to the home (all of them I am very happy with)...so next on the list is getting rid of the hideous tile in the shower stall and the ugly frosted door. Thanks, Nancy

Psycho killers in The Villages? :22yikes: Good thing I do have that clear door on my shower.

I don't think the clear shower door makes my bathroom seem any larger. However, it does add a little more light to my shower area. I think the shower would be a little darker if the door were frosted.

You do have to wipe it down after each use to keep it clean but that's not that difficult to do.

Oh well. By that time, it's already too late.
