How to get started on enjoying the villages

We are renting for a year until we buy and were wondering what the is best way to join clubs and find other things that we would like to do. I have been reading and searching these forums and some Facebook groups. Is there a newcomer orientation that the Villages puts on that would provide this information? Thanks for any advice

We made lots of friends in the pool. We invited them for a dinner out and found mutual interests. Join clubs and groups and invite people to do things with you. If they decline, don’t take it personally and keep trying!

Is there a social club in the villages where you are renting? Ask your neighbors.
