The Southern Oaks championship golf course opened this morning as did the Ezell Rec Center. Here’s a flyover of the new course and a look inside the Ezell Rec Center.

Unusual seeing a TV championship course without country club.
Could you tell whether noise from the turnpike might be an issue?

Yes, you can hear the turnpike on the golf course, there is however a series of berms to knock down the noise, they do help a lot. How much you hear the turnpike will depend on conditions, I live in the Village of Hillsborough and can hear the turnpike in the mornings and I can hear the trains in Wildwood in the morning.

Except for the 5th hole on the Laurel Oak course, the holes look pretty boring. They are wide open and pretty straight.

The only people who will find the Laurel Oak course exciting are the ones living in the Verandas that border the 7th hole. They will have fun collecting all of the golf balls hit into their yards.
