Laurel Manor Plaza will be built at the southwest corner of CR466 and Buena Vista Blvd. Basically, it will be bounded by CR466, Buena Vista Blvd. and Parr Dr. Entry/exit will be from Buena Vista and from Parr.
It will feature an unnamed grocery store and an omni building for small retail/professional.

Any shopping plaza has a anchor store to draw in the traffic, a grocery is typical.

My thought as well. Same theme, anyway, if somewhat different products.
Those prices seem way high though. Pomegranates at $2.50 each for example? Aldi is selling them for 99 cents apiece.

Exactly what I was thinking, and very close location to Fresh Market as well. Could be another place to grab a quick dinner after an evening of swimming laps at the Laurel Manor Sports pool í ½í¸Š

Any guess as to which grocery? Hope for Kroger! We do miss better grocery. Florida is lacking in this area of services.

It's going to be anchor to itself. Nothing to the right (Laurel Manor) or across 466 (Saddlebrook GC). To the left is Elan senior living and a Bob Evans, and across the street is Tall Trees. It will be a one stop destination.

Googled it. Sounds like a grocery store just like Earth Fare that just opened up on 441. Not my kind of grocery store.

Yes, it is very similar to Earth Fare. I have been to Earth Fare twice since they opened and they a very good selection of fish, meat and cheese.

If you have always eaten organic, fresh vegetables, and fish, Earth Fare is closer than driving to Whole Foods. Trader Joe’s has the largest Kosher selection.
But if you were raised with processed foods, not really worth changing diet in late stages of life. Couldn’t hurt, but not likely to make any great strides improving health.

Sprouts is much better than the new Earth Fare. Better selections and better quality. Similar to Fresh Market but not quite as pricey.
Hope it opens soon

If you are selective, you can get good products and save money. We love their imported chocolate , some items in jars like olives, jams etc. Also yogurt and household products. I'm glad that we have Aldi's here.

Sprouts in other cities is usually not the most popular market to shop in. To me its all show and higher prices.

I order from Krogers weekly, they deliver to The Villages. Even with the delivery charges, I get what I want and pay less than if I bought it here. A little pre-planning is involved, but you can always grab what you need locally. I love the convenience, they give you a one hour window and are ALWAYS on time. They even waive the deliver charge for your first couple orders so you can try it out and see if it fits your needs. Hope this helps. We probably buy half our food at Aldi. Wrapped produce (cauliflower, lettuce, carrots, etc.) is always fresh and sells for about half of what it sells for at (say) Publix. My wife attributes the freshness to the quick turnover of the products. Their fruit is good as well for the most part.
Anyone buying grapes from there should be a bit cautious though. They're usually sold at a good price and for the most part are quite tasty but we have taken to washing them in a baking soda/cold water solution before we eat them. Soaks them first for 15 minutes in the solution, rinse and repeat. You'd be amazed at how murky that water is after the first soak. Other produce gets the same treatment.
I've seen people grazing at the produce counters, Aldi and other places. My bet is that they wouldn't be doing that if they knew how dirty some of that stuff is.

Be very careful of grain items. Went to baking party, 8 flour packages from different stores including Walmart were fine. The 10 different packages of flour from Aldi, infested. Not the first time that has happened, so Aldi is on the do not buy list.

That's the rumor and considering the source the royal family is most likely the developer of this project.
Funny they don't list this new location on the Sprouts website. They list ten coming locations in Florida, but not TV.
Sprouts Farmers Market Announces New Stores Opening in 2021 - Sprouts Corporate: About, Sustainability, Press, Careers, Foundation, Investors (https://about.sprouts.com/press-release/sprouts-farmers-market-announces-new-stores-opening-in-2021/)
Another thing that struck me about the Sprouts article: "Stores in Dania Beach, Fla., Grand Prairie, Texas, Phoenix, Ariz., and Smyrna, Ga. will introduce Sprouts’ updated, smaller format which averages 25,000 square feet. "
Judging from the size of the lot, that will probably be the one we'll get. I'm not quite sure what this "smaller format" is. If I were a betting man, I would bet that it will be one that doesn't serve hot food and one that doesn't provide tables to dine on. It will have a salad bar, like most of the Publix in the area.
My wife and I do eat mostly organic, but not primarily so much for health reasons, but for environmental reasons especially for the impact on farm workers. We love the new Earth Fare, especially the eating area where I can have lunch while my wife shops.

I’ll stick with Publix I don’t cook but love there fruit , vegetables , sushi , clean stores and the fact that they top every business survey for taking care of there employees, I don’t mind paying.a little more just for that reason

Disagree .. Will travel up north to Earth Fare, especially given its proximity to Total Wine. Had both a Sprouts and Earth Fare within a quarter mile of each other. Frequented the Earth Fare, rarely went into Sprouts.. Sprouts have lots f veggies, but Earth Fare has a much better selection of meat and seafood. That's why we have choices... the market decides

I used to go to Sprouts to grocery shop. They had good sales on their produce when they opened their stores but then their prices went up. They have a vitamin/supplement section similar to Whole Foods if you are looking for those items. I've heard they are known for their homemade sausage in the meat department but never tried it. Fresh Market is definitely more "upscale" than Sprouts if you were to compare the two stores. It is a smaller store though.

1. The Villages is definitely the developer of this project.
2. The size of the store will be 23,256 sq. ft.

All is good. I have been in Sprouts in CO and it is a really nice store. Sprouts will be a nice addition to The Villages.

I would be surprised to see Lidl come. Trader Joe's will not come here. Wegmans would be my dream come true and they aren't coming here anytime soon.
