The Mortgage Firm. Is this a good company to work with? We're pre-qualified with them and looking for a place to buy. They seem very good so far. Thanks in advance.

No idea about this firm, but if you are looking at new construction the villages has a very specific hard 30 day closing requirement, and then fines are invoked. When we bought (new) Citizens First was one of the very few that could reliably meet this requirement.

What I would do is google your question. Why don't you do the same?

Mortgages cost 2% investments bring in 7%. Smart choice to mortgage.

Thanks for the input. We're not buying new though.

I used Citizens First when I bought and then again when I refinanced. Excellent service and good rates.

Go on-line - use quicken. I refinanced about a year ago with Lower.com. It was no more hassle than using the bank down the street.
I would also look at Citizens First, when we bought new (2015) they were very easy to work with because they understand "retired" and were very competitive except for being a bit high on title insurance.
