We need to have a 220v line run underground from the breaker box to a utility shed within TV. We'd been given the following names of electricians. Has anyone had experience—good or bad—with the following whose names (listed alphabetically) had been suggested to us? This might be of interest to other Villagers. Thanks very much!
• Electrical Contractors Inc
• Family's Choice Electrical Rep
• Lake Sumter Electric
• Lenhart Electric
• Pat Myers Electric
• Pike Electric

Where in TV can you have a utility shed? I used ECI and Lenharts, both were acceptable, both were projects for 120v not 240v.

We used Pikes to install power for a hot tub. It involved running power from the breaker box in the garage through the attic, then down the wall to a subpanel. From the subpanel they trenched about 40 feet to the side of our birdcage slab. They slant drilled from the slab into the trench and brought the power up right next to the hot tub. Other companies didn't want to go through the trouble of drilling through concrete. They just wanted to drill through a birdcage support. As a bonus they were about half the price of one of the electricians that the spa company recommended. They are also the company that wired our house during construction.

We used Grant Electric for a minor problem (I let the smoke out of a GFI outlet...). I was very happy with their response time and their bill.
They are coming by next week to give us an estimate on switching out some hi-hats for pendant lights and replacing/moving a chandelier, and possibly adding soffit lights over the garage doors... I'll keep y'all posted...

I wasn't aware that sheds were allowed in TV...you may want to check on that
I've used Hayes Lighting & Electric Services twice and been pleased

For those who have asked, many manufactured homes on the Historic side have added a carport and, behind the carport, have added a utility room/shed for washer/dryer and whatever else.
We are now thinking of the possibility of running the 220v line not buried but in conduit through the outside wall from the breaker box, then around the house and the utility shed and back into the latter at the place where it's needed, which sounds a whole lot simpler
Still need to interview and evaluate electricians and very much appreciate all suggestions. Many thanks!

Definitely Pat Myers, We have used them several times and they just ran all the lines to our new shop/shed. Know nothing about the others you listed.

I have never heard that the Villages has allowed a shed on any property. You DID get approval to put it up, right?

When they say "shed" they are referring to the utility room. Sometimes it's not attached to the house, but under cover of a shared roof. These are mostly manufactured homes on the historic side.

See Post No. 10 for an explanation. The rules for Villages built in your neck of the woods do not necessarily apply throughout. Sounds like "shed envy."

I’ve used both Pikes Electric and Lenhart. Very happy with both companies!🤠
