There was the carcass of one of these laying off the pond on 16 at marshview;
It was very different than most fish, the head and majority of the top of body was all shell or bone, the underside had two small clawed hands. The one at MV had to be 10 inches long. It was picked clean by vultures and such.

I surely wondered the same thing. To see some of the birds try to swallow an anole can be painful enough. Swallowing & digesting one of those…ouch!

Great pictures. Good reason to keep alligators around, besides, can't imagine trying to clean one of those.
