2017 Yamaha...cart died.

There should be three by the battery, and one or two under the cup holder. Depending who the maker is.

Yes, I agree a fuse, if the new headlight was wired to the ignition switch, the main fuse probably blew. The problem is there are probably a dozen or more aftermarket wiring harnesses as well as one or 2 "factory" wiring harnesses. You will need to look along the battery there can be (as noted above) a small fuse block, there can be fuses located along the wiring harnesses and there can be fuses in the front under the dash. You will need to carefully pry up the Yamaha symbol, and use an allen wrench to remove the security screw.
Having worked on several golf carts for neighbors:
1. Do NOT replace the failed fuse with a larger one, you will be risking a fire.
2. Have someone familiar with golf carts carefully review the wiring, I have personally had carts blow the main fuse because ALL of the new accessories were added to this one circuit.
3. Replace the fuse with the same rating, and have the new light moved to a NEW circuit and separate fuse, this means you will have to remember to manually turn off the light.

Look in owners manual ( or online) it will show location of fuses. Now you have to figure out which circuit you or who wired into. I would definitely wire to another circuit that don’t kill the cart when fuse blows if that’s the problem? If not I hope you own multimeter?

I agree. Probably a fuse. But the bigger question is what caused it to blow. Merely installing a headlight should NOT cause something like this. Did a golf cart service install the headlight? Or did you? If you did then re-check your installation. It could be a short.

Most likely a fuse blew because of a short , check your wiring with a multi meter .

Also Depends on how much amps the lights pull and what else on the circuit, guess it’s overloaded.some of theses head lights are like train locomotive lights. To be that bright they have to pull more amps.

They place fuses everywhere. I once spent 3 hours before I found the correct one. One of the big marketing features for Carts and Clubs for me. They place a fuse block under the seat and all fuses are right there. Very easy to find them all.

Did you replace an existing headlight or install an additional light? Replacing an existing light should have had no effect unless you pulled a wire loose. If you added an additional light if it was wired to the same circuit, the fuse may have been overloaded. When installing additional lighting I use a light wiring harness kit. The kit creates an independent circuit with its own fuse. The kit comes with everything needed including a switch, relay, fuse holder, and wiring.

Most of the accessory fuses are in the wiring harness under the dash. Usually hidden in the bundled wires. You may have to cut the wire ties to find it.

Had same thing happen in a Harley we owned. No blown fuses anywhere. It started ok with a jump (did you try jumping it?). Stopped running as soon as cables we’re removed. Problem was a short in the battery itself. Replaced battery.

If this signal module blows and it often does when working on the lights The Villages cart store has the market on them. You can't get them any place else. I know I tried. Annddd they charge about $175 for it. Maybe more now...
