Does anyone know if a zoom call can be cast onto a tv screen? I have both Roku and Firestick and use youtubetv to stream. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have connected my laptop computer to my TV using the HDMI cable outlets on both. I use it sometimes to look at photos but, basically, you have just added another screen to your computer. You would continue to use your keyboard as needed.

My Sony television has built-in Chromecast, which allows me to cast the video from my Samsung Galaxy 10+ phone to the television. If you don't have Chromecast built in, you can buy a Chromecast stick that will allow casting, if your phone is also compatible. Another option is to use an HDMI cable and connect the phone directly to the television.

Since as far as I know, you need to be on the computer for the zoom call (possibly a cell phone) the HDMI cable sounds like the best (easiest) solution.

I have a Roku Ultra. I can cast anything (including zoom) on my iphone or ipad to my TV using apple airplay.

I also have a chromecast that i use for travel. When travelling, i plug the chromecast into my hotels TV HDMI port and then can cast anything on my windows laptop to the chromecast (including zoom) using the google chrome browser

I have a windows 10 computer and connect to the screen to our television over the wireless network they are both on. Not sure what software is involved by would believe a Zoom session could be put on the TV if when connected this way. When connecting the computer to the television the screen on the computer is also showing the same content. I will have to give it a try. We have a TCL TV that Has ROKU.

I just experimented with this last night. Results were, for LG tv, I was allowed to sign in via tv web os but there is no Zoom client (app) so you join meeting from your browser.
Now you have video and voice from presenter but, I’m assuming now this might work, you need a cheap web-cam/mic so conference can see and hear you. Well that’s the nerd in me doing all that. The easiest way is to project from your laptop, via cable or Wi-Fi, to tv and use the laptop’s built in or external web-cam and mic to Zoom.

First thing I thought of when OP asked was camera. If Zoom is cast to TV camera should still be set up close to TV.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 phone and there is an option in settings called Smart View. Anything that is on my phone can be cast to a nearby TV. So if you are making a zoom call through your phone, it will show up on your TV, if you choose Smart view. I can also watch movies or look at photos etc on the TV, that are on running on my phone. I'm sure Apple has something similar.

I cast Zoom to my TV by mirroring my computer screen (and sound) with an Actiontec Screenbeam Mini device (it's an inexpensive miracast device) attached to my TV via an HDMI port. In addition, I have a webcam connected to my computer with a long cable and placed by the television. That way, when I'm looking at the TV screen, I am also looking at the camera. I keep the computer near me for access to the Zoom controls and to have the microphone near me as well. The miracast device is also useful any time you want to cast to your TV as when traveling or when you want to cast programming for which no app is available on your Smart TV, Roku, or FireTV and, unlike the Chromecast, no Internet or special application is required. It simply mirrors whatever is on your computer, tablet or phone. That said, apparently the Actiontec device is not compatible with Apple devices. If that is your need, their are other brands that might work.

Be sure to go buy a simple webcam and place it on top of your TV screen so that you appear to be "looking at" the other people onscreen.

Or, place your laptop with it's camera directly in front of TV.

As others stated, connecting computer (laptop) to TV via HDMI cable is easiest approach.

I have a cable that has an HDMI connection on one end an an iPhone connection on the other. Set up the Zoom call on the iPhone, plug the HDMI into one of the jacks on the back of the TV. Once the ZOOM App is opened, go to INPUT on the TV, select the HDMI channel and you’re on. Control it with the phone, not the TV remote

The short answer is yes. HDMI cables work well. If you have a newer computer (last 4 years or so) and Windows 10 then you can use the built in "CONNECT" and "PROJECT" features. Google "cast PC to television". This also assumes your TV has wifi or a ROKU stick or a Fire stick or some equivalent. You need to have your PC connected to the same WIFI network as your receiver.

I use Apple TV to wirelessly put whatever is on my laptop to my TV. Called screen mirroring I believe. Easy to do.
