How is the new BJ's coming along, any idea when it is scheduled to open?

Went by the other day and it is looking good. Building is up and the gas canopy is up. They were working on the entryway and the first layer of pavement is down. Still have a lot to do but it was taking shape. No idea when it will open though.

Thank you

It appears they are months away from opening. Hoping they have the deli counter.

This thread is not as exciting as I had hoped.

Are you not happy because it’s not open?

Why were you expecting singing and dancing?

I was not impressed while shopping with friend's at BJ’s in Merritt Island as it seemed unorganized and dirty. But perhaps a new one will be better. Another box store along U.S. 441/27 will not help the traffic situation along that corridor. You would think that Regional Planners (if there is such a group here) could do better as future growth is not in that area of The Villages.

Developers have properties, Business choose their location. Justjim, You might want to email the business you want in a certain area, explaining where they should locate.

Trying to staff something that size might prove to be quite a challenge... seems even a coffee shop or restaurant can't find enough employees these days to keep any DEFINITE schedule of days and times open ! ? Speaking of, perhaps I've been under a rock.... LOL... too long, but just discovered a WONDERFUL coffee shop in the Spanish Plains shopping Plaza (the end near the hospital side). I had give up all hope of having a real espresso coffee shop in the V's long ago, but this independent place (Think it is called The Standard) has espresso drinks that compare to the wonderful independent cafes in the Italian neighborhood of my adult children's major city. I sure hope they can manage to make it as an independent in this time of virus and employee challenges. And the prices ? A bit LESS than the watery, pale, tasteless espresso shots at the chains.

Never been to that BJs but most are good. I much prefer BJs to other warehouse stores. I find Costco to be messy and unorganized.

I pass by BJ's regularly, my guess would be spring time.

We've shopped at BJs for many years up north. Sams? The ones here both in Lady Lake and Ocala are not very nice. We've been to BJs in Clermont and like that one. We recently joined Costco primarily because they have a brand of hearing aids called Kirkland, they are priced very reasonably with a 180 day money back guarantee. It's a long haul though to Lutz/Wesley Chapel from here. Out of the 3 wholesale clubs we find Costco the best.
