Invite them down and show them around, introduce them to your sales agent. We stayed with friends 5-6 weeks over a number of years before buying.

Seeing is believing. You can tell them all you want and then they can make their decisions. There is good and bad to be told about anywhere and TVLG is no different.

I’ve lived here 12 years and I have run into a few people that match your description but for the most part we are just a population of people who have worked hard and raised our families and would like to enjoy the relatively few years we have left. If you’ve encountered those that have the attitude you describe let me apologize for them and hope you don’t run in to any more. If you do just know they were that way before they moved here and the change of location didn’t change them.

Tell them that moving to TV offers them an opportunity to set their own agenda with most any activities imaginable. Tell them it is a "lifestyle" change where the areas are beautiful and golf and water and outdoor activities are rampant. A great place to live.

Download The Village app and search homes. Come down to the Life Style stay. New Home will come with bonds.
Experience all 3 squares. There something fit everyone. I enjoy older section homes and I’m near two squares and shopping.

Tell them to rent first. That is the best advice. The golf cart paths are a great seller, because you can drive them every where. You don't really need a car. The sunshine in FLORIDA alone will sell them!!! Also. The newer homes dont have the stores, banks, gas stations etc. So we are glad we bought in an established area.

Come visit, and talk to as many people as you can, including shop owners, residents, and snowbirds. Have a list of specific questions to pose to a real estate agent, you know the ones that are important to you, like taxes, health care, etc. I always asked the people I met, " if you had to do it over again would you move to the Villages?" "Is there anything you don't like about the Villages?" I was amazed that so many people bought and sold their homes in the Villages 2 or 3 times and stayed in the Villages.

To buy in The Plantation at Leesburg instead because they get a LOT more house for the money with no bonds and low HOA and all the clubs and amenities that one could actually ever need with NO traffic and no city taxes on the property bill and nicer size lots that are not jammed on top of each other. If they must visit you in one of the Village Town Squares they can take a short drive in the car and do so for free. Best advice you'll ever give them.

As with most people contemplating a relocation, re-establishing relationships with doctors/specialists, dentists, urgent care/emergency room and hospital can be daunting. The Villages area has an excellent network from which to build a medical team to support your needs. In addition, there are also over 9 health/dental/vision/hearing insurance companies that service the area ... plenty to choose from. :welcome:
