View Full Version : How do I add a quote to the bottom of my posts?

I have been posting away on here since 2007. TOTV is really good at distracting me so I can procrastinate, like I am doing right now as I sit on the floor, in my office, surrounded by tax stuff.

I like to pretend that writing posts is good mental exercise — like crossword puzzles or whatever. (Not on Facebook though. Who knows where that could lead. I might never get anything done.)

Suddenly, today, I decided I would like to do a little redecorating of my page — by adding a quote to the bottom and probably changing it from time to time.

But I don’t know how to do that. I tried one time, but could not get it done.

Would someone please tell me how?

Thanks.

Boomer

Thank you, CWGUY. I followed your instructions, just now, on both the old and new versions. I could see it in the preview. But when I hit submit, it would not go.

Wait a minute. It just showed up. I don’t know why there was a delay in posting it, but CWGUY’s instructions were perfect. I guess I had to write a new post for it to show up.

Thank you. :)

Well, it’s there, sort of. But only on the posts I have written since I asked the question.

I thought it would go back and get picked up on all the old ones.

I think avatars do that, but I have never tried to add a picture by my screen name.

Btw, CWGUY, I remember your long ago picture of the happy guy looking at the parking place sign he thought was meant for him.

That was a favorite of mine. You have the best funny avatars.

(That was a long time ago, but I am pretty positive I am right.)

How do you add your picture to your posts so it shows up in the left corner. It shows on my profile page but not when I post.

It works! (I think….). I still haven’t figured out, after all these years, how to generate a new post?

Edit: Many thanks for solution, Two Bills!

The It works![/B]statement was directed to you, Mr. Wilson, r.e. placing avatar picture & my intention was to thank YOU for that info.
Second part was meant to post on the Royal Cruise post, where Two Bills put a link to directions on how to generate a new post. I’m getting it, albeit slowly. Thanks for all you do on here.
