We live on a newly constructed street in Citrus Grove and have a very noticeably crooked public street light. Who would be responsible for fixing it? There are two home sites still awaiting construction on the road, but I am worried it will stay that way because all construction is complete on the effected side. I think there is more than one builder so would anyone know who to contact? It seems ridiculous to pay so much for a view site home and see the poor quality of the infrastructure. Maybe someone who does quality control? Is it already a Wildwood city issue or a Sumter County problem? Like I said, the road is still awaiting construction on two more lots. The bond isn’t cheap and I don’t want to pay for garbage.

Call SECO electric company
(352) 793-3801.
They will assess the damage and replacement time frame.

Duke supplies electricity in Citrus Grove. You can report it on their web page here Street & Area Light Repair (https://salor-web.duke-energy.app/#/home/map)

You could have stopped after the second sentence……was the rant really necessary?

There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile, He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile; He bought a crooked cat which caught a crooked mouse, And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

Ya know, sometimes you just need to blow off a little steam. Makes you feel better. 😃

The rant was filled with irrelevant and false information, along with some poorly thought out assumptions.

I would call the warranty department to see if they can tell you who is responsible for it.

My exact thoughts, but some never give up the chance to damn something the Developer created.

Really OP? With all the beauty created, do you really think a lamp post would be left that way.

Welcome neighbor :ho: to TOTV where friendliness abounds here in "The Villages, Florida's Friendliest Hometown." I'm surprised no one (has yet) said "If you don't like it move."

Are you saying the rant was warranted? Or just what is it you are trying to say"

Actually, I think he doesn't know...... doesn't care either as long as it's negative about the Villages and the Developer. :ohdear:

I have a crooked pole near my house. Been like that since the 3 storms in 2004. Called SECO several times..... still waiting. I ignore it and focus on all the beauty created as kcrazorbackfan says.

I don't get the paying for garbage thing? When there is a light out on one of the street lights on our street we call the warranty department, before you do so go out and get the number that is on the pole as they can easily identify it that way.

Down south, we don’t have the concrete borders along the MMP’s like you folks up north do. Who cares? Down south, our MMP’s are a lot darker at night than you folks up north do. Who cares? Down south, we don’t have the golf courses like you folks up north do. Who cares? All of us golfers do, because we know they’re coming.

Just walk outside your home and look around. It’s 1/15/22, it’s 72* outside and there is no place like it on earth.

Small s#*t like your leaning light pole will get fixed.

When you come in "Hot", don't be surprised if you're burned a bit... Sad but very true. But like my grannie used to say "If one can't say something nice then just STFU." :D
