Now hiring signs out all over 27/441. Interesting to see if they can hire apporopriate amount of staff.

Had multiple free trials at BJ's over the years. Not impressed. A poor third to Costco and Sam's club. Nobody beats Costco.

Agree. Just drove 40 minutes to Orlando Costco. So many surprises at Costco. A month's worth of pork loin for $12. Nice Shirts for $12. Great coffee beans. etc.

Yep. The ugly third cousin of Costco. The Sams Club (ugly second cousin) in my last town was letting dogs ride around in the food carts. I quit them in a boisterous fashion.

I disagree, I have been a member of BJs for over 30 years and I love it. Tried Costco but it was a mess, hated it. Never had a reason to go to Sams as Walmart had everything they do.

BJs by golf cart will be the best.

just a month? I've bought more than than for less from BJs. but if you want to buy your clothes at Costco that's cool. I know a lot of people that have done that at Farm & Fleet, etc. wierd but whatever.

As for Costco being better, it's a myth. Sam's is the worst since it's just a large Walmart and the meats are subgrade at best, seafood... yuck, their inhouse label tastes worse than stormshelter rations. Costco is ok, the meat quality is ok, seafood isn't bad, mostly on par with Publix but far less cost. The inhouse label stuff is ok yet since I'm also lining them up with publix the publix inhouse label is flat costco is a bit above that. BJ's at times leans Publix grade but better price to Canadian AAA for a great price. The inhouse label stuff is far better than anyone elses, and the bakery at the ones I've been at is far superior to the others. I judge everything by meat and bakery the rest anyone can do.

With that said - that's my taste and preference. unlike the rest of the posts that will come after this one - I explained why I prefer one over the other....the rest will just pick up a rock and toss it at a window so to say.

enjoy whichever, can't believe this became a hen fight

I luv the act of cutting coupons and “saving” even more at bjs -I’m old school…..I just missed green stamps by 10 years

We're really looking forward to the opening of BJs. Having a golf cart accessible big box store like this is exciting. We've shopped Sam's and Costco and are eager to give BJs a try..

Big box store and golf cart don't belong in the same sentence...unless your cart is pulling a trailer.

We belong to all 3 Warehouse Clubs for different reasons. By far COSTCO has the cheapest prices for the same products. Not all clubs carry the same merchandise. Some are specific to only 1 club.

Wow! Much bigger than I expected. That ought to thin out the crowds at Sam’s Club!

Don't underestimate the ingenuity of villagers. You should see what villagers are able to transport from lowes in a golf cart. I brought home lawn furniture and 40 lb bags of salt. I've seen many transporting bags of mulch, 15 bags on one occasion.

Too bad BJ’S is built along US 441. Already too much traffic with Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Super Walmart, Target and dozens of other relative large and small businesses. Regional planning we do not have here in The Villages area.

Fully agree! BJs is a distant third. Costco is unrivaled and glad it will be about 20 minutes closer when Cleremont location opens.

Maybe TV should price their land a little cheaper

You just open the back seat and load it up.

We bought 4 Adirondack rocking chairs, 2 tables and a few other things at Lowe’s and brought them home on the golf cart. Lots you can do with them.

We all like different things, not sure how BJs is a distant 3rd. Sams is the worst and we like BJs better than Costco as we find BJs to be much cleaner and organized. We like the bakery and meats there as well. All 3 are in business so people like what they like.

I like BJ's too....always have...glad that there's one that will be closer than Clermont

it's the meats that bring me there, and the low gas prices

and....I clip the online coupons before we go there

fine by me if someone likes a different store, no skin off my nose

I called BJ's corporate right after Christmas and they said they would be opening "in the Spring." I'm sure they will have a low cost promo to join when they open. They still have a lot of work to do prior to opening IMHO.

You beat me to the post but why would anyone think any business would price real estate or any product under the market value?

Any land that is golf cart accessible is WAY more expensive than land that is not.

My concern is the traffic flow! The traffic will also be competing with traffic from the apartments in the rear and the traffic from Lowe's . You're either going to have to go out at the light near Lowe's or take the light at the hospital. The light at Lowe's is already a bottleneck.

...and there are plans to build 360 MORE apartments behind BJs.

I paid $25 for my BJ'S Membership. It was on a Pop-Up on the side of TOTV'S. It worked. $25 for the first year. No more SAM'S. That's a good thing for us.

Golf Cart accessible to. That's going to be good also.

Had several free 3-month trial memberships in the past. Never paid for a full one, since Costco was nearby. Costco never gives free trial memberships. BJ's has to. That says something.
