I was just checking on some things on MapQuest and I see that all the new areas of TV (St Charles and Buttonwood) are now covered.
The satellite view is interesting and boy the "Big House" on Baypoint Way is a long way from anything. I think a few short cuts may be needed for that price.

Bing is also up to date on their maps. Google is hopelessly behind on getting their maps updated.

At this time, Mapquest shows the streets of Buttonwood, Tamarind Grove and St. James. Neither Bing nor Google have them.
Over time, I use all three because each seems to "leap frog" the others from time to time. And each has its own set of unique features that the others don't have.
Such is life for a TV Gonnabe... pushing Fast Forward but nothing is happening.

The GPS companies (Garmin etc) are behind the times also. My GPS still doesn't have updates that have my street in Buttonwood. What I do is use my friends address who lives in Poinceina and get directions from there.

That house appears to have its own gate and roundabout. Hmm!

All please keep in mind that the actual maps used by the GPS systems are based on the map layouts generated in the main by a single company ...NavTec. NavTec continually updates maps and generally issues a major update in the late fall of each year.

Thanks....it's nice to finally see my house on a map. Up till now, the closest I could get to my home in pennecamp was the intersection of St.Charles and Bailey.

NavTec usually updates their maps 4 times a year and it seems that MapQuest is generally the first to apply the updates to their programs.
Garmin normally releases their map updates in February, May, July and November. These are not set in stone but more of a general release date. So I would look to see the new streets showing up on the next update.

It's probably not a good idea to put your home address on your GPS anyway, in case it's ever lost or stolen, thieves would know where you live. Better to designate your mailbox center or nearby rec center as Home.

Garmin has a security option in many of their units that require you to enter a pin number when the unit is turned or it cannot be used. Just don't forget the pin or use your house number as the pin and you should be okay.
