Since there are so many Country Clubs in the Villages that we have not visited I am seeking dining recommendations. Where is the best view and atmosphere? Do you recommend lunch or dinner or both? Is it good for viewing sunset? Thanks.

Stay away from Hacienda Hills unless you want to bring your own food, table, and chairs and sit in the parking lot.

Belle Glade has one of the best views. But, for food, I consider most of the country clubs to be similar and mediocre. The two exceptions may be Arnold Palmer and Legacy (Lopez).
I heard that they recently opened a restaurant on the moon, but they had to close it. The food was good, but it had no atmosphere.

Belle Glade, mostly at sunset.
Mallory has a nice view over the course.
Havana comes in third.

The clubs where we like the food best is Lopez, Havanna, and Palmer. Like Lopez the most! The best view is probably Belle Glade - But - most clubs have a good view!

Agreed. Lopez has best food, service and ambience of all the Country clubs in TV. Glenview also feels and looks like a country club but have heard food quality has dropped lately ( haven’t eaten there recently so I’m not sure). Palmer also has a nice CC feel. But many others (EP, Bonifay, BG) seem more like beach clubs than country clubs.

If you are a golfer then Arnold Palmer for lunch with a driving range view. Bonifey I've had multiple bad dinners

Most of the swings on the Palmer driving range would make me lose my appetite.

 You're correct, the OP asked about best view and atmosphere...... what did "have heard food quality has dropped lately ( haven’t eaten there recently so I’m not sure)" have to do with the question? And how can one say the food quality has dropped and admit they haven't been there recently all in the same sentence? I personally don't care..... if you want to bad mouth a place knock yourself out - just realize what you are doing. I've had good meals there and bad ones too. That's "fact" not something I "heard".

I'm new with only 6 days into ownership and to date have only dined in 4 CC's. Here is my take: Orange Blossom doesn't have much atmosphere, more like a lunch place. It does have a very pretty view of the waterfall at the pool during the day, especially if you get a table outside. Fenny Grill is nice too, if you have a table outside for lunch and enjoy looking at the family pool. It's really beautiful over there, nice place to walk after a meal. Havana has a really nice atmosphere , and gave me NYC steak house vibes with an interesting menu, but it was evening so I did not see a view. Glenview was nice inside and dining overlooking the golf course was a beautiful view. The people that run Glenview, Havana and Fenney bend over backwards to make you feel welcomed and are so nice. As far as food is concerned they're all decent with Havana having the nicest menu. I haven't had a superb meal in any of them but I will continue to go for atmosphere, and support of our local businesses.

Just remember best does not equal good. It's been quite a few years since we've gone to most of these for lunch or dinner but you may look in the newspaper to see who's running the specials for the surf and turf during the midweek those are usually pretty good as they take extra care.

Not sure if Fenney Grill qualifies as a CC restaurant. I think Havana has great food and service. This time of the year it's nice to sit by the fireplace at Palmer and food is great there too.

I agree with Lopez but our last and final experience at Palmer was on our anniversary. We were seated in the noisy bar area, very cramped. The sweaty golfers piled in for 19th hole and the B.O. was profound. Then the filet mignon came and was tough and stringy. We'll pass on Palmer in the future. Never had a bad meal at Lopez.

We live in Pine Hills area and really like Belle Glade, however Havana has great food as well and so does Bonifay. We are usually there for dinner and the view at Belle Glade is gorgeous.

IMO the best view is Belle Glade, but the food is marginal. The best food is Lopez and the only decent view there is the side porch overlooking the range. The inside dining of Lopez is nice and reminds me of Capital Grille.

Mallory has pretty good food. The downside to being outside there and maybe it's just me, is that there's so much PVC. From the railings to the seating area it just looks so cheap.

Yup. Don't know who the singer was but it was so bad it drove us inside. And we ended up sitting at the bar and loved it.
