2 Falcon 9s going up on the same day, one in Florida and the other in California and a real asteroid coming closest to earth in a few hours - wow this sounds like a Hollywood Movie - they should put Leo and a cute girl in it……

Maybe the asteroid is going to hit one of the twelve mattress stores? That would be a shame!

Calm down just “don't look up”.
Just like individual movie, book reviews. The dog poop issues are much more important and go on forever

there are some that don't believe it will be going by...but rather, arriving just around dinner time
So, we're doing an 'early bird' tonight, and I'm having my dessert first ...:pray::pray:

Might be interesting. The one that should worry folks is the big one that is actually supposed to hit us in five years. Covid and taxes will be the least of one's worries as that one gets closer. Wonder if they will tell us the truth IF it is really a threat.
But, on this one I hope someone gets some good photos of it to share of it passing by us.

Why does everything have to be about the villages? Can it be about life.
Should we not recommend books and tv shows also?

It doesn't. Don't know why everyone is complaining, as it's in the "General Discussion" sub-forum...
But I guess it would be better suited in the "Non-Villages Discussion" sub-forum...
Regardless, does it really matter?

chilout I'm thinking he was referring to the forum that the thread was posted in The Villages, Florida, General Discussion instead of The Villages, Florida, Non Villages Discussion.
Maybe

We watched the launch last night from the front porch. Super clear night and it was a great sight to see. But it's a lot more space junk floating around.

Let's see: We've polluted our land, we've polluted our groundwater, we've polluted our air, we've polluted our oceans----why not pollute near space. Quite possibly an asteroid is less of a threat than Keanu Reeves landing with G.O.R.T. and the ultimate green agenda solution:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Wow, that's four times as far as the moon is to the earth! Will we even be able to see it? I've always wanted to see an actual asteroid. Guess I will have to wait five years until that big sucker gets close to hitting us.

"Betelgeuse is due to go supernova. In the simplest terms, that means it’s going to explode in an extremely dramatic way, easily visible from Earth. Scientists think it will happen some time in the next 100,000 years. Yep — it’s a long time in human terms, but in cosmic terms, that’s a blink of an eye."
I'd love to be around for that lesson:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

We watched it too. I was surprised when we moved here that we could see the launches at this distance. We've been Florida 30 years and it never gets old!

You don’t remember Hail boop asteroid a few yrs. back when some nut case convinced a bunch of people to commit suicide so they could ride it? These people must of been very slow minded. You could. See the tail on that one for about 2 weeks! You’re old enough to live in TV, so you should remember seeing that one.
