I also live in Cason Hammock. Went with Massey. Lawn cutting and fertilization, planting maintenance, pest control in and out, termite, etc. They’re even putting the protective concrete donuts on the sprinkler heads. Call me if you want more info.

I just moved in to Saint Catherine’s across the street from Cason Hammock oh my neighbors are new there too or were a month ago and it was a mixture of landscapers and lawnmowers. I went with deans.

Since this is a really new are you can always ride around to some of the surrounding Villages (St Catherine, Citrus Grove, Hawkins) and ask some of the folks there. It’s a good way to meet people and once you have a lawn team for your home you will surely meet new Cason Hammock folks as they will inquire about your lawn.

Ground Control is unreliable and part way through last year changed the services provided and did not offer any refund. I made the mistake of pre-paying for the year to earn a discount. Will NEVER do that again.

I currently use Fertigator - we will see how they do. Only 6 weeks in.

Satisfaction with Massey depends upon the guy doing the service. pesticide great.
Sprinklers five different guys in a year with each using different settings. So fired them.
Fertilizing done sporadically so lawn guy doing that.

I do my own grass cutting (all electric Makita tools), fertilizing (designed for St. Augustine) and pest control (Bifenthrin 7.9%). We were new in Citrus Grove and reached out to 4 companies. Two never called back and one talked us into doing our own (the two that returned our calls would not go south of 44). Doing our own stuff is not that hard and I need the exercise. My neighbors have not had their grass cut in almost 3 months yet it is costing them close to $70/month. Their lawn service is showing up to edge only. I have not cut my grass since November and our yard looks no different than any of our neighbors.

With an electric battery powered mower, it takes me 15 mins to cut my lawn. Also, all lawn maintenance companies charge you an annual fee when in the winter, you don’t need to cut your lawn

Been using them for a year (we continued the contract of the previous owners). We have a doorbell and front yard cameras and we can see when they show up and what they do (at least in the front yard).

Purchased home in January and not yet full time. Chose Massey because price was OK but figured they would be reliable. I was wrong. Unreliable and inconsistent service. Moving down full time later this summer so appreciate all suggestions and looking forward to dumping Massey.

DIY is the best way to cut your lawn.
Get a nice 21" mower either electric or gas and have at it.

Some of my neighbors walk a lot around the neighborhood but have a service cut their lawn.

I tell them you could save some $$$, get your walk in, and do your lawn some good instead
of those over size machines with the 60" cut.

Highly recommend ANYONE that walk mows over the riding mowers that do hairpin turns and dig up lawn.
