For the last several years I have gone to USAtoday.com to access their Ad Meter for the SB commercials. As I just did earlier today. There will be 60+ commercials before, during, post SB. And they have about 40 available to see and rate right now. BTW it's free but you need to sign up which is very easy.
That said the about-40 that I viewed on their site....not impressed at all. They can be rated 1-10. I only rated one a ten, a couple nine, a couple eight. But the vast majority two or one. Many paid big bucks for stars etc etc. Many only mentioned the sponsor at the end. Many tried humor which IMO fell so flat. And it's easy to see that almost all were extremely "racially inclusive" if you know what I mean.
I must really be getting old as I crave for the cute, funny, expressive commercials. You know the Budweiser, solid car ads, funny animals etc. Seems that so many new one are focused on the X generation, Mellenials, or yuppies as we used to say.
I used to look forward to the commercials during SB, they only time in the entire year I watch ads.
Will be interested to see the final tally of the scores Monday when USA TODAY publishes them. But NOT looking forward to actually seeing most of the during SB?..

Those are the demographic groups that can still be influenced by commercials. Advertisers are not as interested in older groups.

For the past few years I have really started to notice that commercials no longer made sense, then I realized that I’m a mid 60’s baby boomer and no longer the demographic powerhouse I once was. Commercials today are geared toward mellinials. Good luck understanding them.

So glad our gens went a different route than your description. We bought homes in TV, so our parents could spend their winter’s in Florida, rent free, keeping their nest egg safe.
Our children have purchased 2 coastal vacation home for us and family to use wherever we want, rent free. Our premed granddaughter is saving to buy a vaca home so family can have fun times together. Of course med school was worth every penny for our children. So glad our children don’t come close to what you are experiencing or think others have experienced. So sad to lump so many into a group that you have deemed worthless.

I don't particularly like College coaches making 6 plus million dollars per year. Or the idea that college players should be paid like professionals. Or the Miami Dolphins REALLY being OWNED by some clown, rich, individual jerk. Or Any other city or sport PRETENDING to be a part of that city's heritage when REALLY a single individual or small group owns them and bleeds away PROFITS that should go into the revenue of that particular city. There are also sweetheart deals where some city builds a giant stadium just for one rich jerk owner.
........Money in Sports leads to corruption, excessive gambling, and spectators being turned off. All efforts SHOULD be made to keep sports as PURE as possible. I realize that this is very idealistic, yet we have gone so far away from the basic concept of PURE sports for character building that I doubt that it is possible to return to an uncorrupted era!

Will someone please explain why it takes 4 hours to watch a 1 hour of game play? I can watch an entire 90-minute Premier League soccer game in 2 hours, including the pre-game discussion.
Everyone makes a big deal about this so-called football game because a few hundred thousand people watch this fiasco. When the world cup comes around, you know how many people watch that series? Two Billion, that’s Billion with a B. And we in the US think a few hundred thousand people watching ridiculous commercials is a big deal. Wake up folks, there are other things other than football, basketball and baseball that have a greater following and more enjoyment with continuous play and ALMOST NO COMMERCIALS. The NFL is both boring and racist. Where is the “diversity” everyone clamors about? No Hispanics, Almost No Whites, No Asians, No Pacific Islanders. Talk about the epitome of hypocrisy, this is it!! NBA too.

I liked you bringing this to our attention. What I didn't like, and found inappropriate, was your comment about "racially inclusive". America is continuing to be a "melting pot", just like when your and my ancestors came here, unless you are Native American. If you really want to comment on bad commercials, how about the lame car insurance commercials, which are costing all of us an increase in auto insurance rates. I wish they would end them and lower our premiums.

I see E-bikes riders pedaling around my neighborhood OFTEN and that is beautiful ! - as in exercise for themselves and minimal cost to the environment. It DID happen at the original Olympics. And to this day there is a sportsmanly expression known as "the Olympic Spirit"., And I noticed that the LA Rams shook hands and embraced the Bengals players. That could be thought of as an expression of PURE sportsmanship. To this day SOME purity remains in even professional sports. Pro golfers do NOT wrap their putters around their opponents' heads when they lose. Billy Jean King did NOT kick Bobby Riggs in his sensitive parts after she won! So the DEATH of PURE sport spirit has been greatly exaggerated.

Another advantage of E-vehicles is that they have a SMOOTH engine that lasts much longer than a gasoline engine which has pistons that are constantly reversing direction and putting pressure on the bearings and causing big amounts of heat to be removed by the radiator. Plus ever try to pull start a home gasoline lawnmower - they often don't start. And the gasoline gets on your hands and SMELLS. Not so with an E-lawnmower, which should be required for use in the Villages........maybe in the future? Because we are so progressive.
