We would like to have a screen on the garage for ventilation, keeping little creatures out, privacy etc. What kind of screen is best ie. easiest to use, for a typical double garage? Who should instal it? Hubby thinks he can do it himself perhaps.

2 weekends ago there was a Home and garden Show at Sumter Landing. There were approx. 3 companies that installed garage door screens. You don't want the sliding screens that go left to right. You want the one that rolls up. The pricing I received for a 1 1/2 garage door was from $2000 to $2800 that included electric connection, etc. complete job. I would definitely get 3 estimates and compare apples to apples. I do believe the pricing is closer to $2500. There were 2 different models on display and there was different quality of screens. A two car garage would be more costly.
Good Luck.

In addition, to answer your question of your husband doing the job. I was an electric technician extremely handy with all tools and I would not do that job. Most likely you would void all warranties that come with the motor and screen if you installed it yourself.
Some jobs are best left to the professionals.
Good Luck
