Where is the best place to find a list of all the current clubs in TV?
************** does not have all of them, the recreation news doesn't either.
I am told to go to the Daily Sun and ask for some booklet that they put out once a year.
It just seems so overwhelming!

The virginia trace website has a fairly complete list, also one of the government sites lists them as business entities. That second list shows about 1,400 clubs and groups. It's a bit overwhelming, but it is for real.

We had been informed that when we moved into The Villages that there was a meeting for new home owners held twice a month to acquaint us with all the amenities, clubs, etc. I seem to remember that it was the 2nd and 4th week of the month but forgot the day of the week. Can you tell me the day of the week and the time of the meeting?

Thanks so much!:a040:

I just called TV and found out that the next Hometown Social for new home owners is on November 10th from 9 - 11 AM at the Lake Miona Recreational Center. It looks like they are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, just in case anyone needs to know. Can't wait to drive down to TV!:crap2:

Thanks so much for the link to the groups. I already found 5 for me and 4 for hubby. Can't wait to get there later this month for our Lifestyle Preview. We are so excited, especially after our well just froze and we had no water or electricity for awhile. That won't happen in TV!

The meeting for new Homeowners requires an invitation. When you close on your house and get your ID card, you will receive an invitation card.

They also have it in hardcopy, in the form of a newspaper, available at the rec centres. I found mine at the computer room at Savannah Rec Ctr. The hardcopy gives more of a description of the clubs and what they do. Just nice to have a hard copy around the house.

Welcome to TV....and TOTV!!

At your closing (new home or resale), you should have been provided with info regarding a 'Newcomers Orientation'. You can call this number for more info: (352) 753-6732. It is for new residents only. We went to one of the sessions in February - they were being held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at the Lake Miona Rec Center from 9-11 a.m. Again, call the number to see if the schedule is still the same.

Bill :)
