Folks,
I have a 12' Raynor aluminum garage door that needs the bottom gasket replaced.
What can I expect to pay to replace including service call etc.
Cheers!

Cheers! Can't answer your specific question but consider this: If it's not all ripped just flat and useless due to age get a $2 length of 1" pipe insulation cover and slip it inside the bottom gasket. That will bring it back to life for another few years. We did that and it was great in our previous location. It also works well in an existing new bottom gasket. Some new gaskets have a similar piece in it these days. That being said, if you're handy it's a very simple DIY, Old one slips out new one in with maybe a bit of lube to make is easier to slide in. $25-$30 on (where else) Amazon.
This kind of stuff: Pipe Insulation at Lowes (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Frost-King-1-2-in-Wall-Thickness-x-3-4-in-Id-x-6-Ft-Foam-Pipe/1001277258?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-plb-_-ggl-_-LIA_PLB_171_Air-Circulation-_-1001277258-_-local-_-0-_-0&ds_rl=1286981&gclsrc=ds)
Or a new gasket with it already built in: Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/Stripping-Replacement-Universal-Weatherproof-Threshold/dp/B07T95JDBM/ref=asc_df_B00QWWCUFS/?tag=&linkCode=df0&hvadid=385286525459&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2572866842213121779&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9011519&hvtargid=pla-825388875525&ref=&adgrpid=73789135090&th=1)
You can also call a couple dealers and they would likely provide exact costs like ROMAC or ASAP or many others.

I agree. But I can't do anything in 5 minutes. I would allow at least 15 minutes.

This is a fairly easy DIY project, there maybe a screw in each end of the gasket, IMHO, this does not need to be replaced. Remove the screws, and pull the old gasket out. I would position the garage door at a suitable height to make this easier. Spray the new gasket with soapy water and slide in, then cut to length. There are videos on youtube also.

Michael, I think you’re talking about Oranges & Apples. You must be talking about a whole door opener. They’re just talking about a remote. A remote doesn’t cost $120. If I’m confused what you’re talking about you’ll have to give more info what cost $120. sorry!

No legitimate operation can afford to do anything for less than 75$ labor plus parts. Figure around 100$

Not an idiot, just lazy. You were charged a fair price.

If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, call Ryan O'Cull (352) 617 - 0522. Very honest, dependable, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. He has done work for many neighbors and friends. He is extremely responsive. He will probably answer his phone; or, leave a message and he will return your call pretty quickly. BTW-- he was the one who told us that ROMAC installed incorrect springs on our garage door. ROMAC came out and replaced the incorrect springs at no charge.

Specify that you have a Raynor door. It is a bulb type seal. Stay away from the cheap crap at the improvement stores. Go to Amazon and search for the Raynor seal. They are not all universal!

We got ours from Amazon for about$16 and did it our self. Easy to do slides right on. Did the same thing for my mother’s garage.

They sell only Double T and the one for wood doors. You have to get the right one for your door. They are not all the same.

I bought the 16 footer from Amazon with the tube inside. It's definitely a 2 person job to get the new one on. The rubber? Is pretty flimsy so don't even bother to put a screw in at the ends.

I paid $120.00 so what I paid w/tax and service charge isn't far off, $19.00.
