Beware of Keep It Clean pressure washing services.

We just has the house and landscaping stones pressure washed. We were charged $455 for a little over fours hours work. Same company last year charged $255. Started at$150 in 2016.

We just checked with our neighbors and they are paying ~$150 for pretty much the same service.

No complaints on the work but we suggest you either look elsewhere or get an estimate before you have work done.

Either he doesn't like us or he has more work than he wants.

Always important to know the cost before having work done.

I would never hire any contractor without knowing the cost in advance. And, I would never pay any money in advance.

Written contract is essential for any type of work

That sounds extra rich. Our house was $90 and large lanai/birdcage $65 in 2020. In Sept. 2021 house $95, lanai $50, birdcage $75. Plus, husband asked him to do the 4 rocks. That was another $35, so total = $255, same as OP, in 2021. He does a really good job, but at these rates how clean does the house have to be?

We have used Keep It Clean for five years. Steve does a great job, and we have never paid more than $100. I don't understand it.

My father taught me when I was young to always ask the price first. Especially in Florida

I’m would never hire any service here without knowing the cost for the service first -especially since the excessive house building here has created a shortage of services available and excessive overcharging is rampant due to people not questioning cost or agreeing to get ripped off. (I don’t mention shortage of workers due to stay home and make more money because that would be political)

So you didn’t ask price before work was started???

I used Steve once close to two years ago. He never showed up or called for the next appointment. 6 months later his office called and apologized but explained that he had been in a motorcycle accident and was out of action. He did a great job and did the job for the amount we agreed to.

I am sorry for the OP’S difficulty and wonder if it was a misunderstanding. I wouldn’t only beef on TOTV’S, I’d contact Steve’s office. Good luck.

What’s the issue? Free Market! You could have easily picked another service provider.

We've used him since fall 2018 to wash either the whole house annually, the lanai/birdcage several times/year, the front entry/driveway, landscape rocks and landscape retaining wall. We're always given the price when we schedule and we average $500 a year with him.

For reference, we're in a 4br Ivy, 2+ garage with a large birdcage that wraps around one side of the house.

yeah, we use Steve too, & found out he was out of work for awhile after the crash. believe it or not, his girlfriend offered to come do it herself, but we waited until he was out of hosp & back to work. we have NEVER paid more than $100ish, (plus tip), & he does the entire area, service with a smile. idk who the op dealt with, but over $500 is just plain wrong. please call their office.

added note: we used sabrina's cleaning, after finding an ad in the ValuMail packs. they were ok, good workers, but not as good as steve when it comes to paying attention to detail

The guy is just giving a heads up that’s all. No one expects a pressure washing job to go up $200.00 in one year even with inflation. Quit being so nasty.

Buy your own pressure washer. You can do a better job and it’s fun to cool off in hot weather. You can get a super-duper pressure washer for less than $455.

I did my own & I do understand some people just don’t want to do any kind of maintenance around their house or don’t want to do it. As long as as I’m able & know how to do it, I do my own. I power washed my own house. Bought the best cleaner for less than $20. now it might be $30. & did my whole house in a hour to an hour & a half. That’s about the only exercise I get so it makes me feel good & save a lot of money!
