Seniors vs Crime Project was sponsored thru the Florida legislative task force to help
seniors avoid crime, scams, hoaxes, and bad business dealings.
We first learned about this organization at a social group gathering. This is a volunteer
project and there is no charge for their services. They do not have legal enforcement
authority but can provide assistance in obtaining that.
I our case, we had a renter that breached our signed agreement, moved out owing rent.
I contacted "Senior vs Crime" to see what assistance they could provide, if any, prior to having to file a lawsuit in Small Claims Court.
They did convince the, at fault renter, to agree to a monetary settlement. It wasn't the full amount owed, but we accepted the settlement, rather than have to file a lawsuit.
Probably not many in T.V. are aware of Seniors vs Crime, but they were very helpful
to getting our situation resolved.
If anyone feels they are a victim of a scam, unethical, or unfair business deal, you may
well benefit to contact them. There is never a charge, to anyone, for their services.
