He certainly does the Ukraine proud unlike a certain Russian leader and his country and how most of its people will probably look at him if the facts ever surface for them.

They had an election that is how he became President. Relying on FOX for your information is a very sad. Reminds me of when they said Senator Duckworth pays no real estate taxes in Illinois. Which is true. But, that is because she was wounded (lost both legs) in Iraq. In Illinois and other states wounded veterans with specific injuries pay no taxes. FOX of course NEVER corrected their story.

A man is judged by what he does more than by what he says. I sit here in my safe office typing. Far different with bombs and missals being dropped on you. I firmly support our constitution-avoiding as to many do saying the second amendment. The right to bear arms, the right to self defense. Enter reality. the weapons we are allowed to have are like peashooters against a tank, a mortar, a machine gun, jet fighter, missals, bombs etc etc etc. If, Russia invaded the US? Reality the villages would not be a target. Simply not worth the trouble.

Putin recently said that the Ukrainians were traitors and treasonous. Then he bombed a movie theater/bomb shelter full of innocent citizens. He has bombed schools and hospitals as well. How long does the world have to cower from this tiny bully before someone that works for him or close to him, takes action and Putin has an accident? Obviously, the world does not want another war, but wouldn't we want someone to assist us if we were invaded by a superior force? Are we going to sit back and watch when China realizes we are chicken and decides to finally take back Taiwan?

Poland offered to fly the Mig jets to a Germany American air base.
Is that because Poland did not want them leaving their country and going directly to Ukraine?
If not and America does not want American pilots in direct conflict with Russian pilots,
couldn't they find a way to get Ukrainian pilots into Poland and fly them back themselves?
If so, I would think it would be a win, win.

He wants us to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine. He wants the Soviet-era MiGs that NATO allies (from their Warsaw Pact days) have in their arsenals. He wants Russian-made S-300 antiaircraft systems in NATO inventories transferred to Kyiv.
He wants the U.S. to sanction every Russian official who does not repudiate this war on Ukraine. He wants all U.S. companies to pull out of Russia. He wants all Russian-made goods kept out of U.S. markets.
In short, Zelenskyy wants the U.S. as a full-fledged ally in Ukraine's war against the Russian invaders.
In short, Zelenskyy wants us to go to war. Is NATO willing to join the fight?

Just a passing thought, triggered by the "do research" comments. A Bear is attacking someone! Too late to start researching bears or the victims history. Time to decide on "effective" action that will help the one being attacked without making matters worse than necessary. Knee-jerk reactions could likely make things worse. I am not an expert in international relations, nor am I an expert in war. I will leave that too our elected officials and their political and military adviors to make that call. I served my country once and I vote. That is all I can do now.

Funny how you have neglected to announce what you want Biden to do, even when asked directly. All you say is what you want him to stop doing and step up. What is step up?
Keeping in mind that the Constitution grants the power to declare war solely to Congress. So that can’t be it. Or if a declaration of war is what you want, be disappointed in Congress.
True, but that has never stopped ANY president from using our military to support/assist countries that we favor in their conflicts.
What should he do? I'd say that he should NOT be telling Putin that we would do nothing if he invades the Ukraine, to begin with. Second, I would not be telling Putin that we would do nothing to retaliate if Putin uses a nuke in Ukraine. Third, I would proudly assist the Ukraine by not only supplying them with plenty of air power, I would also enforce a NO FLY zone over Ukraine, which would be done with Ukraine's permission. I would ask Ukraine for permission to bomb areas along the inside of their border, which would NOT be violating Russian sovereignty.
Too late, but I would not have endorsed removing the missile defense system that we did when Biden was VP, which would have possibly prevented this from happening.
As a powerful president of the world, I would have used that influence to convince the UN to label Putin as a war criminal and issue a warrant for his apprehension. I would also use that power/influence to convince the UN to shore up Ukraine's defenses and run Russia's military out of the Ukraine.
Like it or not, sometimes a powerful nation such as ours is responsible for assisting smaller countries being preyed upon by larger bullying dictatorships. You do not sit back and watch as a defenseless woman is raped, just because you are scared of a big bully. You do what you can because it is the right thing to do. Russia has been warned and has ignored all warnings. Today, the Ukraine; tomorrow Poland. Today, Russia takes Ukraine; tomorrow China takes Taiwan.

I agree with much of what you say. But keep in mind Russia’s place in the UN. Russia can put an end to just about every activity with the UN by it’s position as a permanent member of the Security Council.
The UN might try to remove Russia from USSR’s past position as Russia is not anywhere near what the USSR was. But as of right now, doing anything about Putin and his murderous pack is just not as easy as we would like.

Can you also say "North Korea?"
North Korea Conducts 10 Missile Tests as World Focuses on Ukraine
The dictator of the most secretive country in the world, Kim Jong-un, has shown his intention to increase his war power as a clear challenge to the US, taking advantage of the fact that the world has its eyes on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
NK is no threat to us. If they ever present a threat to us, we can take them out with just one of our subs. Just another third world dictator.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volodymyr_Zelenskyy)
He certainly does the Ukraine proud unlike a certain Russian leader and his country and how most of its people will probably look at him if the facts ever surface for them.
Have you seen the Arnold Schwarzenegger video message to the Russian people and soldiers? It was impressively written and delivered. It had great details of Arnold's life and weightlifting idols. If that gets out to the masses in Russia, it could possibly (?) result in Putin being overthrown. I would like to see more famous actors, entertainers, and athletes doing similar things. Tennis player Roger Fererer is giving $500,000 dollars toward a Ukrainian childran's fund.

I agree with most of what you say but my concern is Putin has lots of nukes and presumably controls the button.
I also agree with you that this is a valid worry. I remember when we had the same worry about Cuba. Maybe a dirty operation is called for? Maybe an assassination of Putin is the best thing for the whole world, not just to Ukraine? I agree that we will always have to worry about the bully with the big bomb ready to blow a fuse at any given minute. Just my opinion, but we may have to make a harsh decision before long. And as someone else mentioned this is a great motivation for China to retake Taiwan, due to our confusion on how to handle the other dictator.

He said...i need ammunition, not a ride. Should quote your hero correctly.
He will be running his butt out of there soon and continue his acting career here.
That is a possible outcome, but very pessimistic. It is just as likely that Zellenskyy will remain in Kyiv until the end of the war. I would give it a 50/50 possibility that Ukraine wins the war either initially or EVENTUALLY. Russia may win initially, but the Ukraine will likely win the occupation that follows. The Russian military looks like a "paper tiger". They are having trouble shooting down even slow-moving drones, which are killing Russian tanks and soldiers. When the US switchblade drones get to Ukraine, there may be many more Russian trucks lying dead by the roadside. Russian military morale is said to be way down. If Russian mothers start having their sons return dead, the war could be over soon. Eventually, people get tired of being lied to and they will revolt against Dictators. That's how our US Democracy began!

The war is unjustified, of course, but there is more to the story than
what our media is telling us. Zelinsky was installed by the US because the previous guy was courting Russia for trade. Zelinsky is pro western trade.
https://youtu.be/-5y3jEuKoHk
And so what, EVEN if true. Western countries represent FREEDOM. And Russia represents the opposite of freedom. It represents killing innocent people in the UK, killing innocent people, and babies in Ukraine - probably the same in Afghanistan and Syria. Russia TRIED to kill American soldiers in Syria. Putin hates all western countries with freedom-loving western people. If he could, the US would be turned into piles of rubble like he is doing in the Ukraine. Here we have as simple of a situation of good vs evil as you will ever see. Putin is a monster like his idol.....Stalin.

When fighting comes down to the occupation phase of every war, then handguns and rifles become important. Tanks and jet aircraft are not important then - all the battle lines are gone - no more territory to take - no targets for missiles. Remember what the Viet Cong was good at..........they did very much with very little.

I think there are a lot of issues with this entry.
If you truly want to be paranoid - how do you know Putin doesn't have "the switch" on a dead man's switch, just in case he is assassinated?
I think the US reaction has had the opposite effect on China. The commitment we have made to Ukraine, with no official agreements in place, is historic. And the administration's refusal to back down from the moral high ground has gone a long way towards the US recapturing its world leadership role so casually tossed aside a couple of years ago.
If China has learned one thing, it is not to mess with Tiawan (where we do have hard commitments) during this administration. They will wait for one that is more malleable.

Proud of President Zylenskyy, ashamed of President Biden.
That is too simplistic logic. Zellenskyy is concerned exclusively for now and the foreseeable future with one thing only......preventing genocide against Ukrainians! Any, any, any patriotic US President of any stripe would have to be concerned about the US, the Ukraine, and the future of the world, as in the whole human race, as in not to be glowing.

I’d like to see his bank account statements for the past couple of years before I give him 2 thumbs up. This is Ukrain don’t forget…..
With just a little bit of the use of Google, it can be gleaned that in the UKRAINE, Zellenskyy has been FIGHTING corruption since he was elected. He was elected for that specific purpose. Early in his administration, he removed the protection from being sued that the political class there had enjoyed prior.

Once this is over and it will come to an end one way or another, this country better take a good hard look at what countries stood with us and which did not. Some we support with arms and others with our tax dollars; some we have major business ties with. Also take a good look at some major American companies that refuse to cut ties with Russia and get big American tax breaks year after year.
These are some of the same people that will send your kids off to war, have never served themselves and are only worried about the stock market. Praise the almighty dollar.

No, thanks.
The Ukraine is a democracy. The US prefers democracies. Putin hates and fears ALL democracies. We can support Ukraine NOW or we can wait and fight Putin when he and China are stronger and the Ukraine may be defeated. If the Ukraine loses, then China takes Taiwan and then Russia goes for Estonia or Rumania. The dominoes start falling in such a way that is bad for the US. The US has the choice of appeasement or resisting Russian bullying. Worldwide democracy or dictatorship rest on a knife's edge at this time in History. And American is NOT exempt from that knife's edge.

I took the time to research this and so should you. Find out for yourself and go to alternative news outlets. The alphabet networks (Fox is included) will only report what they want you to read. Read before you think and think before you speak.

Like I said when I started this post, I think Zelenskyy is doing a fabulous job, with what he's facing....I'd share a fox hole with a leader like this any day of the week
the man has courage...and he is leading...against superior odds
I chuckle at that those that have commented on this tread that they think he's a fake... and urge us to do some research....all from the safety of their rocking chairs here in the bubble, where we are safe...yeah, like they know everything
sad how some old people get confused...but then again, maybe they dodged answering the call when they were young and their country called....

Gotta remember that the Japs would never have a mass invasion of the US as their leader said “there’s a gun behind every blade of grass.” (No, I’m not politically correct)
Also, remember that most Democracies are turned into Dictatorships by internal not external means.

As far as which countries supported the US -- fear is highly motivating. All of the small countries on NATO's eastern edge like Estonia and Romania are very motivated to support NATO including the US. They are afraid of Putin. They want to remain FREE. Putin could enslave them easily IF and IF-after the Ukraine would fall. Sweden and Finland also have something to fear, so they are thinking about BECOMING NATO countries. Germany, France, and the UK have very large economies and France and the UK have fairly large militaries. Germany JUST passed laws to allocate 2% of their very large economy toward military buildup. They are all reacting to fear of Putin's Russia.
