I have an enclosed Lanai that I would like to raise floor 4” to match the rest of the home. How is this done? Currently I have tile on the floor . Lanai is enclosed. Door to outside can be raised so not an issue. Lanai is 34’ long. I intend to keep slider even if floor raised

Curious how it’s done… do they pour concrete or frame out and insulate? Expensive??

Your taxes will be raised as they will consider this additional living space

Usually the floor is raised BEFORE the lanai is enclosed. IMHO, I think you will be letting yourself in for possible water problems if the windows (or sliders) are left open during a rain storm. You will need to consider the existing slope of the lanai floor.
I would actually call the county building department first and ask if can be done under the current building code. If so, they can probably give you the general requirements. Please proceed carefully with this project, I can see lots of things going wrong.
