Good nights sleep coming up and off to see our 6 homes tomorrow. We WILL BUY AND BE HERE BY DECEMBER 15TH. What can we do all alone at Christmas?

Whatever village you buy in, there will be a Christmas party -- talk to the neighbors and get added to the email list, and check the bulletin board at the mail pickup, as soon as you decide where you want to be. You can't go wrong.

Also check a Thursday issue of the Sun for the list of clubs and start now to join the ones that interest you -- most of them have holiday activities also.

Spent yesterday looking at 7 homes. Really liked one of them. Time to get out and further searching on day 2. 7 more and a revisit to the one we liked. It's getting closer.

Hope you're having fun. As others have said, you can't go wrong by moving to The Villages! Relative to home selection, all I can tell you is that I've heard a number of people say that they wished they had a bigger home. I can't imagine it, but they say that the average Villager moves a number of times <i>within</i> The Villages! And I think only part of that has to do with the saying I've often heard about "you never know how many friends you have until you move to Florida!" Let us know what you choose...

Looks like we are closing in on a home in the Palo Alto area. We are going to see a couple more tomorrow, but we like the Palo Alto house.

As others have said, if you are here by Dec 15th, no way you will be alone by Xmas, good luck on finding the home of your dreams. My advice is unless there are extenuating circumstances, take your time...gn
