Have you considered setting the TV on a stand? I have never seen the need to mount a TV on the wall. A lot of them are mounted too high for proper viewing.

Best Buy's Geek Squad may offer this service...but, you'd need to check it out

Agree. Tom mounted a 65”TV in our bedroom last Wednesday. I ordered the TV from Amazon. He unpacked the TV, mounted on the wall (he supplied the Bracket), put the electrical and coaxial behind the TV. He does dozens of mountings weekly. Highly recommended.

We used Best Buy to mount several TVs on the wall including one outside on the lanai. They did a terrific job. No wires anywhere.

Is it safe to conceal the electrical cord inside a wall? Most wall mounted televisions will also require an extension cord. Has anyone had to relocate their electrical outlet? Thanks.

Perfectly safe.

You can purchase a longer power cord for your TV and install a new electrical box in the wall below the TV...

Personally, I don't see a problem running the TV power cord behind the drywall for a few feet, but some installers will not do it. All TVs should be plugged into a surge protector, that are available in several lengths. I would not run the surge protector cord or extension cords behind the drywall.

Never put a connection behind sheetrock. You can run wires behind sheetrock just like all wires run behind sheetrock, phone data electrical.

Look for a product named Power Block. Amazon sells it.

Not to code. If caused a fire that could become an insurance issue. Beware!

Remember, the proper way to do the installation is to run the electrical outlet wiring up behind the drywall to a new outlet behind the TV. Running an extension cord from the TV down to an outlet just above floor level violates the building code. In the case of a fire, you’d have saved a couple of bucks, but your claim would be denied. Dave won’t make the connection that way. His cost also includes the proper bracket for your TV.

Fully agree on Tom at Villages AV, 352-388-1677. He's an expert! Has a probable 2-month waiting list though.

I used Villages Audio TV Mount. He did an amazing job with the install. No visible wires and he even made the cable box disappear. Great job, reasonable and personable. I highly recommend. 352-388-1677

As far as wiring goes, check out Amazon. Look for a product called PowerBridge.
Very easy do it yourself setup.
Tv should be mounted so you are eye level with the middle of the screen no higher. That being said I have seen many mounted higher.
