Played Amelia , Caroline this afternoon. The course was in very good condition. The greens were consistent and close to perfect. Played the front nine in 1:55 but 2:30 on the back waiting on almost every shot . Great day for golf and got home in time to see the final pairing play their last 7 holes to wrap up a great Master’s tournament

I played Caroline/Virginia on Friday, and generally agree with you. But almost every hole has hundreds of weeds growing in the mowed areas around the greens. I don't chip much, and like to use my putter from off the green, but the Mallory courses won't allow me to do that. Those weeds stick up a couple of inches from the mowed grass. Seems like simple weed pulling would help the situation.

Let’s see….if everyone fixed one ball mark AND pulled just one weed………:ohdear:

Get real! No way that is gonna happen here. No time with hurry up golf.
By the way, doesn't Mallory Hill sound like a good name for a country singer?

Always time...
I make it a point to fix at least two ball marks (never mine, because I rarely hit the green when I want to...) :censored::censored::censored:

And what about the "pull weeds"? Thats the part that is unlikey to happen.

I used to notice them, but, like dirty dishes at the next table in a restaurant, not my job. That is work for paid employees. That is how they make a living.
Our job on the course is to have the best game and the most fun we can. Now, get out there and train that ball to go into the hole like it is supposed to.

No offense intended, but I think the overall poor conditions at TV's "Championship" courses, have lowered people's expectations. The weather has been spectacular for growing grass lately. I play off campus at least once a week and every course I've played, is in better shape than any of TV's courses.
I play Mallory at least once a week and on a Condition Scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 6. Without a doubt, the best conditioned course right now, is Glenview. I'd give that a 7. GV is in the process of aerification, so I suspect their Greens will improve further.

Now that you mention it on Caroline Sunday I actually pulled one weed and removed another with my club ( out of boredom while waiting to hit). Technically pretty sure according to the rules if it’s in the ground you can’t move it though
