My wonderful wife is interested in Plantation Shutters. We would be interested in recommendations for companies selling and installing these. Thanks.....

I've used 48-Hour Blinds now twice. Family owned business, honest and reliable. There are very few contractors here that I can recommend whole-heartedly, but this is the rare one! Great all around.

In this enlightened age, it's a wonder they are still allowed to be called Plantation Shutters!

Surely some group or other should be offended!:icon_wink:

Be sure to measure each window. The number of slats in each blind should be the same for all the shutters in the same room.
Probably not a problem.

Now you have started it, we will have to learn a new none offensive name. No more master bedroom plantation shutters?

We have plantation shutters, and one thing we did not know and did not ask about is if they hinder the ability to clean our windows, and they do. The frames for our shutters extend a small amount into the window resulting in the tip and clean feature of our windows not working because they hit the shutter frame.

Not the end of the world, but if we had known we might have made a different decision.
