We have Comcast, not a fan, charges change with promotions that come and go, no notification until you receive outrageous bill. We have our own modem equipment. Our TV interests limited, my Doug is a news junky, I'm NOT, common interests golf channel. I like HGTV, History, Animal planet, Smithsonian, all of which come with channels that neither of us have interest. Both iPhones are ready for updates. As much as I follow all posts related to the above, really need a techy professional to sit down and give us good advice. We have tried streaming, ugh, tried dish, coverage during inclement weather, not great. Grand child could probably give us good advice, giggle. Help!!

If you have Comcast, I hope you are using the Xfinity Mobile cell phone service. My cell service is only $13.64 per month for one phone and it uses the Verizon cell network, the only network that I would use. That would be reason enough to keep the Xfinity Internet service. If you don't like streaming, I don't think you will find a better or cheaper cable TV service than Xfinity. By the way, if you have a 2-year contract with Xfinity, your bill will not increase except for certain taxes and fees. But, when your contract expires, you will lose your contract discounts and your bill will increase without notice. That happens to a lot of customers because they don't keep track of the contract expiration date and initiate a new contract before it expires. If you want to use streaming, go to the website, "suppose.tv" and enter all the channels that you want, and it will show you the streaming services that you need to get those channels at the lowest cost. You can compare that cost to your current Xfinity cable channels. For streaming, I would suggest a Roku stick, even if you have a smart TV. In my opinion, it is the best streaming device.

Verizon prepaid cell 25 a month with more than one line. Can buy eBay refills making it less.
Use a Roku. Fire stick is terrible

Regarding Comcast: you need to be on top of things with your contract. Set up a reminder on your calendar when you're a month away from your contract end date. Call them -that- week- to renegotiate.
If you're using Comcast for TV and not just internet, ditch it. Keep the internet - you can get 100mbps for $50/month (again - you have to remind yourself to renegotiate every year). Get a Roku stick and YouTube TV. You'll get everything you listed in your first post, plus some extras.
Even better - if you have more than one TV, take advantage of the infinity Flex stick they push at you, which is free (not a loaner, it's yours). Plug that into your second TV, and take advantage of all the free stuff Flex offers (including Peacock Premium and the Weather Channel).
