We are seriously considering purchasing a CYV in Hadley. I've gotten such good information from these boards and for those of you who know TV well, what are the advantages and disadvantages of living in Hadley?

And yes, Gracie, I know that living in Hadley by you is definitely an advantage!!! I could just stop by and have ALL my questions answered!!

Thanks,
Pat

It's hillier than most TV villages (makes bike riding and walking a little more work). It's a distance from Spanish Springs and the stores along 441 (Home Depot, Sam's Club, etc.). That's all I can think of. It's really a nice village with great people, including and especially Gracie. Personally, I think every Village has a good reason for living there -- just find a house you love and you really can't go wrong.

Since Amelia borders Hadley, we share similar advantages. A disadvantage is the distance from big box stores - Home Depot, WalMart. Other than that I think it's perfect - 1 mile to Colony Plaza with grocery, Walgreen, bank etc, a couple miles to Sumter Landing - all an easy golf cart ride.

Where you choose to live should depend on what activities you want to take part in. For example, both my husband and I are golfers and we like to take advantage of all championship and executive courses. Hadley is a bit too far to go to Lopez, Glenview and others. If you want to join the new MVP gym in Spanish Springs, Hadley may be too far. Other than that, all Villages are wonderful!
