Lake Glass and Mirror in Leesburg, (352) 787-4700. I don't know if they will install the mirror.

My sister had Affordable Glass do a wall in her dining room, it is beautiful they are in Ocala. I had Lake glass replace some table top glass, they had to come out twice to fix the glass, one time for not measuring correctly and a second time for chipped glass edges.

Are you looking for a large single mirror or several smaller mirrors? The use of smaller mirrors makes this potentially a DIY project by simply gluing the mirrors in place, and you can probably get these at the larger tile stores. I just had a large mirror 39" by 49" replaced in the bathroom, for $75. Now I am sorry I did not keep the company name of phone number, but I did get it from Home Warranty as the company that originally installed our mirrors is no longer in business.

I am looking to do a large area in the living area but considering extending two mirrors in bathrooms . The larger area is certainly beyond my DIY ability, might be worth while to have the contractor do both, price will tell

GatorBill is spot on correct! Home value decreased and “Old Fashioned “is sugar coating it…. I remember the 90s when the mirror was the bomb… maybe it will be back in style someday

Agree about resale also if you decide you don’t like the mirror look in the future removing the mirror from your wall will cause significant damage to your drywall. If you really want a mirror on your wall we had one installed on a wall in our last home in a room that was used as a home gym. The company we used in West Palm Beach installed it on the wall without glue. They used a track on the bottom and clips on the top to hold it in place. I asked to have it installed that way in case in the future I wanted it removed no significant damage would be done to the drywall.

I agree. Also, gluing the mirror to the wall can be dangerous because you never know when the glue can fail and the mirror falls off the wall.

I totally agree with all those who recommend NOT installing a mirror wall. That look is SO out-of-style. Not to mention the drywall issues you'll encounter if you ever want to remove it -- or the money you'll lose on resale when the prospective buyer discounts your asking price for near-term remodeling costs.

Here is our OLD FASHIONED dining room wall that we love. Optical illusion enlarged and made room brighter, got this idea from NC furniture market, must be making a comeback.

Lake Mirror and Glass did a great job for us. They have framing options to choose from and will install the mirror. It really opened up our living room given how dark it was to begin with. Good luck.

I have recently had cataract surgery only in one eye.I paid $2500 more than what Medicare pays for the cataract surgery. I have told the doctor numerous times that,I need far distance lens so I would be able to drive and see high ways signs. After the surgery I have found that, he has put a near vision lens in my eye !! Does anyone have any idea, how to go after him for either correction of the lens ( another surgery) or take legal action. Thanks for reading my dilemma.

I used Active Mirror & Glass at 352-750-9877. I get compliments on it when someone comes in for the first time. It brightened up a dark corner of a room and made it appear larger. I did have to put something in front of it because some people tend to think it is an extension of the room and I didn't want them to walk into it. I clean it once a year, but it is not dirty. It's like your walls, you don't have to wash them. I had the company come back to put a border around my bathroom mirrors. I was redecorating my home and 2 different interior decorators said that it was a good choice. They both said that It makes such a difference in with my style of home to brighten up that dark corner.

Do it yourself and then if anyone is to blame - you will know him!

Won’t decrease by much if anything. Most buyers see thru cosmetic issues like this and realize the cost to change is minimal. At my age I could not care less about resale value. Make your house the way you want it and enjoy it.

I think this was placed in the wrong place. I've had cataract surgery in both eyes.
I do wonder one eye? They both are in the same head, same age, same body health, same genes etc. I had always thought near vision distance vision was due to lens shape. Actually there is also differences in the shape of the eyeball and retina issues.

Ability to see in dim light also deteriorates as we age.

I do recall a follow up visit the evening after the surgery. Typical inquiry how many fingers do you see. Truth, and my reply, I only see shapes, you ask how many fingers so I assume that is your arm. I am thrilled with the results far better than it was.

I would get another opinion. I think I would consider the Mayo clinic. You do not want a doctor where they know each other. A second opinion. Years ago I had a doctor offended that I did not go to the person he recommended for a second opinion. Doctors are human. A second opinion, they will recommend someone they know or know of that shares their view.
