New to the Villages, I noticed that most of the bars around Brownwood were closing relatively early (10PM or so). Made me think about when NFL season rolls around and the primetime games start around 8:15PM. Seems like RJ Gators would be the only option to be able to watch the whole game at a bar as it closes at midnight? Is that correct? Do any of the places do anything special during the MNF games? I've been to other parts of Florida where MNF is a big thing at sports bars.

Gators at Brownwood has the most TV's, but attracts big groups depending on who is playing.

The standing joke around here is that 9 pm is curfew. Go to any square at say 9 15 and it will be pretty much empty.

Since those evening NFL games are on national TV and don't get over until almost midnight, just stay home and watch them. The drinks are cheaper too!:a040:

World of Beer stays open later than most as it is popular with the restaurant workers after their shifts.

Nothing wrong with watching a game at a bar as long as you drink responsibly

World of Beer, at Brownwood and Spanish Springs, are open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. But, they close at 10PM on other days.

I can’t stay awake until halftime. Watch YouTube highlights next day. Too little action in a game. Red zone is the only way to watch football

Margarita Republic in SS seems to be the happening place for late night debauchery. Don't know how many TV's they have, but read about it a lot in the online rag.

Check with Margarita Republic in Sp Spr. (Open late Thurs-Saturday) and DJ and Gina's - just north of The Villages off CR 42 in Summerfield and Brick and Barrel / Frank's Place - these last two are on or right off Main St in Leesburg.

Looks like you're going to have to leave the Bubble. Dani's Sports Bar &Grill in Wildwood is open 12-12. Or Miller's Ale House in Lady Lake. Open until 11.

Open until 11. interesting that you find Wildwood and Lady Lake outside the bubble , I wonder what you would call a trip to the Millenia Mall in Orlando , perhaps a weekend getaway???

I watch enough sports on tv at home. It's just a different experience to watch in a lively sports bar.

So, what places did you come up with to answer the OP'S question?

All that can be hoped for is the question is answered and than the subject gets expanded upon.

OP your responses were…
I don’t stay up past(fill in the blank)
Too old
Too cheap to buy drinks at a bar
Don’t watch sports
Nothing good happens after (another fill in the blank)
Best is do you know where your grandparents are:popcorn:
You have come to the wrong forum for info that pertains to an event after dark:1rotfl:
Miller’s has game nights, some so popular that you have to pay for a seat, and as posted so does WOB have nights that they stay open late.
We go to Miller’s, televisions plaster the walls, crowd that stay up past 8pm, and good appetizers. Some of us stay up past 2am.

Agreed, how can 10PM be late for anyone that doesn't have to get up for work the next day?
