For some reason, I have decided that I want to buy a new Kia Soul. Does anyone have a Kia dealer and salesperson they would reccommend?

I have a 2018 Cheverolet Equinox that has absoultely nothing wrong with it, but I really want the Soul. I will also be trying to have it detailed.

Tim Lile from Bill Bryan Kia, Leesburg

I have purchased two vehicles from him and he is the best. He follows up after sales, answers questions, etc.

For some reason, you are not sure…. Detailed in having it tricked out with mag wheels or making it a low rider or something like that.

the Rat commercials don’t help it’s image. Kia is not known for long term quality. Check Scotty Kilmer mechanic videos

I like Scotty. Watch his videos everyday. Plus, his voice aggravates my wife to no end. Love it.

I can see way he aggravates your wife.
I just watch him on U-tube, and if you tie his hands behind his back, he couldn't talk....:clap2:

Bryan and really enjoy it (aside from the the imported Korean spider infestation on delivery and 3 recalls over the last 2 years). Forgot the salesperson's name but don't think he's there anymore. He drove me nuts with followup (how's it going) calls and finally had to tell him to stop. :D Their service is excellent and they will drive you home and pick you up when car is in for service.

I’ve owned 3 Kia Souls over a 12 year period.
Having owned many new domestic and foreign cars over the years I can honestly say the Kia Soul build quality and reliability are on a par, or better than
any of my previous cars!
Plus they seem to be quite popular….definitely see a lot of them tooling around TV.
As an owner, I can understand their popularity!
I’ve also personally met a few fellow Kia Soul owners, and all seem very pleased.
I doubt that you have ever owned one!:ohdear:

As far as advice for the OP….dealerships are dealerships and be cautious and do your research!
Your present vehicle is fine, so you may want to hold off awhile and see if the car market normalizes a bit!
Right now inventories are low and dealer add on market adjustment fees are substantial.

Don’t let the dealership salesperson know you are determined to buy one. Act like you maybe interested or he steal you equinox.

3 into 12 equals 4 years. Any vehicle today should last 4 years of care free driving.

That is good that they worked out for you. I owned a Hyundai once and the 10 year warranty is good but it is all the little things we had issues with. Windshield wiper arm fell off driving down the street, Sun visor came off in my hand while trying to use it, handle to help get out of the car fell off. These are the little things that drive you crazy when you buy a car.

My niece had a Kia Soul with manual transmission (yeah...she's a "keeper") and used the accelerator pedal as an on/off switch. That thing would not die. I too would hold off a few more months until supply/demand normalize this summer...but if you get a good deal then.....

Did you trade those cars in or sell them? I heard this guy buys them at a great price

Following this thread & appreciate all this info re the Kia Soul because I will be in the market for a vehicle with automatic ramp capability for wheelchair access and would prefer the most compact option that is relatively low to the ground (making side-door access directly to driver or passenger seat as easy as possible for someone with mobility issues). I see the Kia Soul being modified aftermarket-style with ramp at rear by Freedom Motors; seems a better option for my needs than a larger, side-ramp-access Honda Odyssey or van.

The new Kias have a 150K warranty. Not that I have ever put that much mileage on a car.

The first one I bought new in 2010 and I
owned it 9.5 years!
It was the only car I kept for that long, because I was
generally so pleased with it.
I only traded it in because I wanted a newer model.
And everything was functioning on it fine when it
was turned over.
You should get the facts before you put
numbers together!

Here’s a suggestion…there are so many Kia Soul’s in TV it might be wise to ask actual owners your questions about dealers, salespersons,
and their experience with their Kia’s.
When you ask here, it seems your likely to get a number of
opinions thrown in without
any personal experience to back them up.
Have a great day, and good luck with
whatever you do!

The Consumer Reports April annual auto issue rates the Kia Soul at 51 points out of 100 and it is not a recommended car.

The larger Kia Sportage is rated at 72 out of 100 points and is a recommended car by CR.

Just traded in my 2016 KIA Soul after 5 years of loving it. Got tired of talking to local Kia and other dealers around here and bought a 2022 Toyota corolla cross from Clearwater Auto Nation. Got more for my trade than anyone around here would give me and new car is even better than Soul was. Auto Nation does not do add-on for car shortage situation like dealers in TV area, including Leesburg and Ocala.
Corolla Cross is much more solid a vehicle and has all the safety features we were looking for. And it is a TOYOTA.

Someone suggested asking Soul owners how they like their car. I did for several years before purchasing my first Soul and then my second one. No one person complained about their Soul. Not one. I also "heard" from some that Kia Souls have problems. Name a car that hasn't had problems. Since I have a 150K warranty, which I will never ever be able to achieve, I guess if I have problems Kia will fix them. For the price, I figure it's pretty good. Plenty of head room, which I have never gotten from another car. Great gas millage. Small footprint for a car, but plenty of room inside.

BUT, the OP was about WHERE to purchase one, not a review on poster's opinion of the car.

I bought a new 2020 Kia Soul EX with premium options two years ago at Bill Bryan Kia Leesburg. I had first gone to Jenkins Kia in Ocala will never go back to Jenkins. I only have 7K miles on it but not one thing has gone wrong. I would buy from Bill Bryan again.

That is true of most things. The Kia is made in Korea. Frankly when they first entered the country they were terrible. Seems they have made effort and improved the product at least what they sell in the US.
Truth, I try to buy American. What is more American than Chevy. My past two cars have been Chevy. Made in the US? One was made in Canada. The one now own is made in the US. To be marked made in the US 80% of it needs to be made in the US.
The transmission on my car is made in Mexico. Is made in Mexico a sign of quality-not according to my views. Aside, I have a Chevy Malibu, it is 11 years old and it has been great.

Any car will need service.

I would consider who services THE BRAND you consider. I saw a Volvo the other day and realized you don't see many. They are good cars. I expect finding a place to service one and finding parts is an issue.

I believe that Volvo is now a Chinese owned company, not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not your father's Volvo.

If you check your mail for awhile, Bill Bryan will eventually send you a key for a new one for free. I got four keys so far, but didn't have time to pick up the cars. Also, when you get there, he will bend over backwards for you.
