I have family that are in their 40's that would like to rent my home. Is this allowed and would they be able to use The Villages golf courses and pools?

To me it's not worth the hassle if it's a one-time thing for a month. For them to be able to take advantage of the pools and golf courses they would need villages id's. You would have to turn in yours in order for them to get the id's. That isn't a big deal, but that information is reported to the state and you would have to then declare the rental income on the property. To declare the rental income you have to file with the state and make sure you do it on time, or you will be paying penalties.

Also if they have children they have to be 19 or older.

When you turn in your I’d those people do not report to state , they have no idea if your renting it out or just letting friends or relatives stay there , they are not an investigating agency , how to deal with rent or non rent is between , you , the IRS and whatever God gives you a conscious or non conscious

We were going to rent the house out but instead we just have our friend house sitting. We went to the sales office to get her an ID which she got but they no longer take your id as we still have them. I think they just deactivate them now since they are online.
If they are there less than 30 days any age can stay and you can get them a guest pass but I believe that does not include golf.

I haven’t rented out since before Covid , but probably will this winter, that’s a good idea less time for them ,but do they activate the card again or do you have to get new one ,

I believe children under 19 are not allowed in rentals which this would be. Visitors can bring children.
