Course should be closed
Greens have weeds all over which deflects putts.
Even though the lack of rain traps are mud holes that players have trampled through and not raked for what looks like weeks.

I'm seeing lots and lots of executive courses like this. Courses in north Villages are in pretty good shape.

Such a shame for such a beautiful course.
I played Heron Friday and the greens and tee boxes were terrible as well and this was always one of my favorite courses...

Amen to the conditions at Truman. It needs a lot of work.

Crap, playing Truman this afternoon. I just don't understand why the northern courses are ALWAYS in much better shape than the rest of the courses. This really needs to be addressed!

Very disappointing post. I just purchased a new home in Cason Hammock and did not expect to see these type of course conditions at ANY golf course at TV. Golf Course Quality was near the top of the list!!

Bad conditions open up more T time slots. They will fix them in oct in time for the birds to return

See a note to person in charge of mtc for our exec courses. Maybe if they get enough of them, they will go and take a look.

My husband wrote to them about the conditions of Truman and Southern Star yesterday. I hope everyone who has concerns is also following up with an email.

You have choices, nowhere else do have 650 hole plus available. When you sign up to play course you have to play the conditions like everybody else has to. So, you lost few strokes to conditions, big deal. I suspect the bad conditions are attributed to heavy traffic and some golfers adding to problem.

Played Pelican yesterday. Greens aerated a week ago and large holes still make the greens impossible to putt on. If you look at TOTV posts these complaints go back a long way. Just because they have a lot of "golf holes" doesn't make up for Poor conditions on these courses.

Our fees pay for the upkeep of the executive courses. If you are very concerned follow the money to see if enough dollars are allocated for maintenance. Supervision is important too as I’ve observed over the years negligence on the part of those working to maintain the courses. Having said that, good employees are hard to find given the wages paid to maintenance employees. It’s a very tight labor market and prices of maintenance “materials” such as fertilizer, etc. continues to rise from month to month. Golfers could help a lot if they would repair ball marks and fix divots on the course. Bottom line - don’t look for improvements in the near future.

Amenity fees going up 7/8%. Maybe some of the extra $ will be used to maintain the exec courses. Not spent on new windmills for Brownwood business advertising.

Amenity fees going up because inflation - inflation also increased Labor and materials (fuel/fertilizer) cost.
I know fuel is up a lot more than 7% in the last 18 to 24 months. I’ve read, fertilizer is too.
My guess, conditions will degrade.

Fuel cost just went up .20 a gallon this weekend. This will really cause inflation.

Golfed Truman yesterday, and it is in the worst condition that I have ever seen. Weeds have taken over, and there is no grass in fairways. It should be shut down. Ninth hole is solid weeds. It used to be beautiful. What is happening to our golf courses?
