Can anyone tell me which weather radio was recommended at the recent hurricane preparedness meeting? I had a picture of it but I cannot find it. Thank you.

These are sold at most of the drug stores and hardware stores. They all preform the same functions, so not sure if the make matters, we have a MIDLAND brand, with a battery backup (4 AA cells). The alarm can wake the dead.

Use AA Lithium batteries. They won't leak like Duracells do

I have a Midland stuck in a drawer somewhere because every time there was a "dangerous" thunderstorm warning in the area in the middle of the night it went off scared the crap outta me and more likely it would never even rain. There is usually enough warning when a hurricane is coming (like every 30 seconds on TV) not to need that thing going off. I originally reprogrammed it ONLY for tornado warnings but I have straps in our bed to hold us down if a tornado comes through so I left it in the drawer. Besides, I have like 5 apps that would do the same thing.
Anyway, the Midland seems to be the most popular and when we got it at (IIRC) best buy they even programmed it not that I couldn't do it myself.

Use your Alexa as the Weather Radio

your smart phone can also act as a dangerous weather alarm.

I have a Midland weather radio which I purchased 15 years ago. I kept it plugged in and turned on for a month or so until I got tired of the constant alarms and being woke up in the middle of the night for a thunderstorm that was occurring 100 miles away.
So, I unplugged it and put it in a drawer. Haven't ever needed it. Tornadoes are not much of a threat here, and hurricanes give lots of warning so the weather radio is just a nuisance I can do without.
