Maybe you could take it to the P.O. in case the owner does not read this forum? Or take it back to the nearest postal center when the carrier is there later today?

I have found several post office keys, I just take it to the nearest post office and hand it in. They can tell who it belongs to by the serial numbers on it.

Any chance it was on a green lanyard with a gate card also?
