We got a little over 4 inches as well here in Osceola Hills! It was a lot of rain but we really needed it.

Both rain gauges read 3.625" here in Buttonwood. Was awoken by a huge clap in the middle of the night that sounded like it touched down near the house, or in the neighborhood. Everything looked OK, but weather station screen changed. Not sure if it caused a momentary blip in the electrical service. Anyone else hear it?

My weather station in DeSoto registered 6.65 inches for the event.

After a long dry spell, that amount of rain in such a short time, is not that good for baked dry soil. More runs off, than sinks in.
May be different with Florida's sandy soil, but heavier soils need a steady drizzle for a good many hours to get deep.
Good for golf course retention ponds though!
