The winter weather for one thing, but what I really like the most about TV is the proximity to amenities.
From our home in Poinciana we are close to a wide choice of pools, pickle, golf (championship and executive) and two squares. It's so easy to do stuff, and a lot of it can be done on the spur of the moment. Because of the proximity, we often don't need a lot of planning ahead to go do some activity.
And, of course, we have lots of friends to help us enjoy these activities.

The live entertainment that is available in and around TV...being able to watch a rocket launch from the end of the driveway... our friendly caring neighbors are the top three that come to mind

While not 'fun' these things bring me a bedrock of happiness:
Safety: we feel safe here. The fact that the most petty things are discussed/complained about here is verification of that
Cleanliness/orderliness: there are no bad villages or neighborhoods
No marginalizing seniors: Old people and their needs rule! No more getting ignored for prime income earners. We are not second class citizens here by any measure.

Hmmmmm....
1. Not having to worry about whether or not I have gas for the snowblower.
2. No State income taxes.
3. LEOs that are allowed to do their jobs.
4. No State income taxes.
5. Having a tan in February that I didn't have to pay for.
6. Having every conceivable business and service that I really need, not more than a 15-minute golf car ride away.
7. Friendly people.
8. Golf. And more golf.
9. Well-kept and attractive public places.
10. Did I mention no State income taxes?

1) The nature spots that were left for us to enjoy: Fenney's walk and the new one by Homestead (but spray yourself for bugs first). You need your own telescope to use the astronomy pads and also a mosquito netting suit lol. Florida so what do you expect tho :-).
2) Music at Fenney, Ednas and all the squares (and bars).
3) Karaoke - you'll find it everywhere in the world but here you get some professional singers mixed with those that know you're going to laugh at them and they are ok with it :-).
4) Golf car accessible shopping, doctors, bars, etc... Just lock up your property as anything not locked is fair game to others. It's safe here but there are a few bad apples in the apple cart.

Sports pools, golf courses, bike riding, don’t need a car (golf carts rule), beautiful weather and no snow and ice, wonderful neighbors and friendly people everywhere, all kinds of different entertainment, beautiful, clean, and immaculately maintained, our beautiful back yard with our private pool, birdcage and wildlife preserve, a community where seniors aren’t forgotten second class citizens, the diverse bird and other wildlife population, so many good golf cart accessible spots to fish for big bass, generally a dog friendly place, and I could go on and on. As long as one has their health, I can’t conceive ever being bored in the Villages. Our biggest problem every day in the Villages is that we want to so many things and the day simply isn’t long enough.

As the song says, “I’m not here for a long time—I’m here for a good time.â€
I’m a Hedonist. I live for pleasure, and I try to notice beauty and take pleasure in it wherever I go. I take pleasure in my air conditioning, in the smell of the air in the evening, in the landscaping here, and the clouds passing, and the dogs walking along the streets, in a shady parking place, in the good cup of coffee I’m drinking as I type.
I especially take pleasure in the various musical jams where I play mandolin and dobro and guitar and more. That’s the focus of my life here, and I devote a lot of time to improving and to learning as much as I can. Where else could I have that opportunity? Worth the price of admission.

1) Thunder storms, yes they are just amazing. 2) The lap lanes in the sports pools - that's probably my biggest enjoyment after spending 8+ years trying to swim laps in a crowded municipal pool.

Yep. They're something you learn about in a hurry.
Last July I was out walking one afternoon. I usually carry an umbrella just in case but as the sky was nearly cloudless when I left home I felt I didn't need it. Well, one of those storms blew up out of nowhere while I was still about two miles from home. No biggie--hot day, and the rain felt good. I just took off my shirt and kept going, drenched. I got to the gate house and the guy jokingly said "looks like you forgot something".
"Yep" I replied, "soap".

For a golfer it is heaven. I can wake up in the morning and a 7-minute golf cart ride can bring me to the first tee of four executive courses or two championship courses.

Many things that I love about TV. It is not perfect, and there are things that I would change, but that could be said for every city/community in the world. What I really appreciate is the beauty of the place. I would defy anyone to show me a development of 100K plus residents anywhere in the world, or even much smaller, that is close to as beautifly maintained and designed. I will also congratulate the residents, as the beauty of the common areas is outdone by the beauty of individual homes and yard landscaping. When we first came here in 2010 we were astonished by the landscaping and infrastructure and it has only improved over the last twelve years.

I still work, outside the home. I have a 1/2-hour drive each way. If you've ever paid attention to the areas surrounding TV, you will absolutely appreciate that you are able to live here. I sometimes lose that perspective and it is nice to regain.
Again, still working, I appreciate living in the bubble during my off hours. So much of the US is polarized about everything -- schools, politics, law enforcement, entertainment, etc. We bicker and argue here, but at least we are generally in the same socio-economic age group -- our differences are not as vast as what I experienced back north, and working here locally. The Bubble rules.
When we get guests, they utter some form of "You live, permanently, on vacation." It is a compliment to the general upscale environs and offerings of TV.
The Bubble is nice, not perfect, no, no, but really nice.

I love all the fake town squares, "gated" entries that let anyone and everyone through, psuedo country clubs, inflated over-priced built-on-the-cheap, crowded together houses, drunken golf cart drivers, nosey neighbors, seniors making fools of themselves, the absolute dumbest clubs in the world, neighbor-ratting-out-neighbor for deed restriction issues, Community Watch that just drives around and "watches", fines that are meaningless, and more. What's not to love!
