Just a heads up on a sophisticated SCAM that I just received. It was described as Whole Foods using a marketing company to do research on how their customer sales are doing. But then this was the following letter. I thought you just find it interesting of how much more deaths of gotten from the olden days.94087

It's hard to read the letter but the gist seems to be that you cash the check then take $1,500 of it to buy gift cards. Take a picture of the front and back of the card and email the photos to someone.

Whoever you sent the photos to will use the numbers to extract the $1,500 from the gift cards. The cards in your hand will be worthless.

Chances are the check will turn out to be fraudulent and your bank will ask for the $1,500 back plus penalties.


$400 for simply buying gift cards??? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
