It's much worse when biking, can assure you. They were everywhere north of 44 but non existent south of it. At least today...

The Nats, on the road, lost to the Marlins today, 12-2.
I would assume there were many gnats there as well

Agree. Have the same question. I had a bright yellow T on for Pickleball, and they pretty much swarmed me. They are floating in the pool the past 3 mornings. Crazy.
Enjoying the humor, and would also appreciate anyone who has a real answer?

I think someone is looking for perfection with the spelling of NAT. It should be spelled Gnat.
I usually take the spirit of the written word as I am very likely to be the one to msipelllll somthin.
We have no bugs this year in The Hysterical Section and the Frogs who tortured us for several years seemed to have moved on? May the caught VillagePox?

Love bugs, swarming termites, blind mosquitos and now gnats. When the locusts appear we may have bigger problems.

I turned off my front pole to reduce the insects in the entry, which worked, and then got a bat coming in there eating it's catch of the day and making a mess. It might be gone now.
At our house in Nicaragua we have bigger bats and bigger messes. I had to put up some 12v lights to illuminate the courtyard roof. Works great.
How did we get on bats? They eat gnats I think.

Trying to keep these nats out of the house, but looks like they commit suicide in bathtubs.

We biked the trail (south of 44) that runs behind St. Catherine’s and Bradford at around 6:00 pm. They were thick in the air, constantly hitting me in the face, I definitely had to ride with my mouth closed!

Years ago when I was an avid biker, on a hot muggy evening I was riding a long descent, when I hit a cloud of gnats. Up my nose, on my glasses, sticking on my sweaty arms, in my mouth, teeth, you name it.
When I took my shower I looked down and there was a river of little black bugs circling the drain.
The beer tasted great.
