Last year there was a story in the Sun about the annual meeting of the Liver Lovers Club. Does anyone know when this club is going to meet again.

Liver and onions anyone (is that a midwest thing)?

Couldn't look at them when I was a kid, now not so bad.

This sounds like a club I could join. The wife likes liver but it has to be done. I like it a little rare so it has some flavor.

Liver, onions, bacon, with bay leaves. I am only one in my family to like this. My mother made this quite often. Oh, don't eat the bay leaves.

I certainly am glad that for the first thanksgiving the pilgrims didn't shoot a liver.

When I was a little girl, I thought lima beans had been created by the devil.

My wife and daughter love liver. the wife has it with onions and bacon. I love the smell of it cooking but can't stand the taste or texture. She also loves kidneys and gets steak and kidney pie from an English pub in Apopka. Always ask for the pie without the steak. Just to many intestines for me, I'll stick to meat and potatoes!

When I was a kid my mother made liver and onions and bacon. None of us kids liked it but in our house the kids ate what was served or waited for the next meal. We whined and complained, then ate the liver.
I don't think my dad liked it either but he knew better than to say anything. Like us, he ate the liver but he suffered in silence.
After I was married, I was sure that my liver and onions and bacon days were behind my until one night, early in our marriage, I came home to find that my young bride loved, you guessed it, liver and onions and bacon. There it was on the dinner table, and, like my dad before me, I kept my mouth shut and ate the dadgummed, dadblasted liver and onions and bacon.

I love chicken livers fried....but hate any other kind of livers.

Can you join the liver lover club if you only like one kind? :undecided:

My wife's mother used to get chicken livers whenever we would go to the cafeteria. One day I asked her if she knew what the liver does and she said "No, what". I told her that the liver is the body's cesspool. My wife told her that I was right. To my knowledge she never at liver again.

I never have eaten liver and never will as long as there is ANYTHING else.
